Raven's P.O.V
It was after school now and I had left to go on a movie date with Hiro. He was upstairs getting changed. I had brought a change of clothes with me to school since I knew I wasn't coming home. We would have gone on a dinner date but I didn't feel like leaving Annie home alone with everyone tonight since she and Harry are the only ones who can even use an oven. They'll burn the house down without me. Soon the phone started ringing. I thought maybe who ever it was would just give up, and I couldn't answer it it wasn't any of my business. But they kept calling! So I went over to press 'End' but the answering machine beat me to the call. The message played through the small speaker "Hey baby! It's Amanda. I just wanted to make sure we were still on for our date tonight at 5. But remember I have to be home by 8:30! Love you! Bye."
I stood in front of the small table the phone was on my hands balled into fists and my nails digging into my skin almost hard enough to draw blood. That piece of shit! He played me these whole time! We've been together almost 3 years!What did I do wrong? Then it went off again.
"One new message"
The machine said in its monotone voice.
It automatically started playing.
"Hey babe it's Meghan. Dad said I have to be home by 11 tonight okay? So I'll see you tonight at 9! I can't wait for our date. Love ya, bye."
By now I had tears coming down in steady streams. I barely had enough time to wipe them away as Hiro came down the stairs.
"You ready to go babe?" He said in a sweet voice flashing me that lady killer smile of his. I couldn't do this, I need to get out of here.
"U-um I forgot I promised I would help Annie move all of her things I-I'll see you later."
I turned around and grabbed my things walking out the door within those 2 seconds the tears started again.
By the time I got home I was just a sobbing, sweaty, hot mess. By the time I was done telling them what happened Harry was wrestling with Annie trying to get to the front door to murder him. Once she had gotten him back into the living room she sat next to me and pulled me into a giant hug. Annie always gave the best hugs.
"I think we should go see dad ok?"
I couldn't say anything anymore. My throat was sore from crying. We got in the car and drove to our dad's house. Annie had to drive so I stayed in the back with Harry keeping me stuck in place with one of his bear hugs. Even Pansy gave me a small hug before we left.
When we got to the house I wasted no time running up the steps and throwing the door open. I ran into the living room expecting to run into the arms of my loving fathers, but instead found our uncles Sirius and Remus instead, although I would've like to be consoled by my parents. I settled for breaking down into a blob of messy tears in front of them as they both hugged my and shushed me trying to calm me down.
My dad, Adrian came downstairs soon after hearing Sirius yell a multitude of swears and curses. "Oh Rave what's wrong?" He scooped me up and cradled me sitting in a large plush armchair. Everyone was sitting in a sort-of-circle around the living room.
I drowned out everyone's talking with my own sobbing. My eyes were red and puffy burning from the crying that's been going on for I don't know how long. And I was getting a killer head ache.
I assumed Annie had told them what happened because soon I was laid down on the chair and my fathers voice rang through out the house.
"Derek! That fucker Hiro hurt my little princess!" He yelled as I could see him walking to the coat rack.
"Annie! Let's go teach that good for nothing asshole what happens when you mess with the McLaughlin's!."
"Father! You can't just go beat up the poor asshole. As much as I'd like to beat him myself this is a maurauder family! Jokesters and revenge specialists, that's what we are!" Annie said getting up from her spot on the couch. "So let's teach this guy a lesson, show him what happens when you mess with us."
Hearing her little speech made me feel a lot better. I picked myself up from the chair and lazily wrapped my arms around Annie in a weak hug.
"Let's give em' hell." A collection of cheers ring around the room mostly from Sirius who was probably dying to rip Hiro apart.
"Aren't you supposed to sing a duet with him in the School Music Festival on Thursday?" Harry said speaking up for the first time since we got home.
"Yeah... What about it?"
Dammit! I totally for got about that! What am I going to do?!
"I've got a plan."
Harry said simply with a smug look on his face.
