" quan stop this water hurt my eyes." I laughed wiping my eyes. Once I was done I looked up and seen some people who was at our school the other day.
" hey quan..." I said turning around.
" rai if you got to pee just pee in the water the fishes do it all the time can't nobody tell" he did playing in the sand not paying me any attention.
" not that and that's nasty !"
" but you see those people behind me ?" I asked sitting down by him with my back facing the people. He looked ups don seen them so he started nodding.
" ain't they the same people from the school ?" I asked and he nodded.
" that's the lil kid right there ain't it ?" he said. and nodded his head over to a lil boy playing in the sand also.
I turned my head and now the people was staring. " i think we need to tell saint." I suggested and sequan gave me this " are you sure" type of look before I thought about it again.
" Well we need to tell somebody." i said and he nodded agreeing.
" let's tell sai." he said and we ran over to her and miles who was laughing and talking.
" Sai !" we both yelled and she snapped her head toward us to see what was wrong.
" these people keep looking at us weird everytime they see us." sequan said telling her and they both walked over there seeing the people. I guess she knew who they was because her and miles started whispering but we still heard them.
" that's the same people who was watching me in the mall the other day." she said to miles and he scrunched up his face.
" you think we should call the polic- no im just gon tell saint like I should've did the first time."
Saint POV ( 17)
" Chip-A-Hoy's are not better than oreos ! that's so dead" I said playfully arguing with nae as we picked up trash. Out of the few times I've tasted oreos they was always good as hell.
" No , I'm talking about chocolate chip cookies in general ! Especially when they come right out the oven , Yessir !" She said nodding her head.
" But you can't compare a fresh bake cookie to a packaged cookie , so it gotta be chips-a-hoys vs. oreos." I said shrugging and she shook her head we both started laughing.
My laughing died down and I just started to watch her as she laughed and I noticed a small something about her. Every time she genuinely smiles or laughs she flows , It makes her look 10 times finer.
" Why you licking your lips like that ?" She asked interrupting my thoughts and I just shook my head.
" nothing was just thinking about something." I said and she nodded going back to picking up her trash. We had been out here for longer than an hour and A half. Plus our trash bags was almost filled so I took this as a chance to chill.
" c'mon let's take a break." I said and we both dropped our materials then went toward the water.
This was my first time at the beach so I paused for a minute just taking in the smell and the scene. But I felt a fat splash of water hit me knocking me out my thoughts.
" Day dreaming much?" ?" I turned around seeing Nae laughing.
" shut up" I laughed getting her back splashing more water on her. Then she splashed me back and at that point we was both having a splash fight.
" alright Im tapping out." nae said laughing.
" c'mere" i said waving her over and once she walked her. I grabbed the scrunched that was on her wrist and tied her hair back to stop it from messing up and get it out of her face.
" t-thanks" ....aww I make her nervous.
" you wanna go somewhere when we get back?" I asked and she smiled looking down.
" like a date ?" she asked and I nodded laughing at how I messed up a lil.
" yea my bad I ain't used to doing this." I said and she smiled nodding.
" Im down" She said and I nodded rubbing my hands together.
" saint !" I hear and saw sai , miles and the twins walking towards us. I gotta talk to my sister about that miles nigga cuz she think I don't see them making kissy eyes at each other.
" These people been watching us for the last couple of weeks , right ? and we seen them here and it's lowkey weird. So that's why we telling you." She said and I sighed.
" what people?" I asked and they walked us over a little bit before pointing over to a couple with a little boy who kept looking back and forth at us.
When I saw them my heart damn near dropped to my ass. It's like my whole world stopped and everything froze. Never In my life would I ever thought I would see them again.
I ain't realize I had been standing there for a minute until nae and sai both grabbed one of my hands. So I calmed dow before having them an answer.
" that's nobody y'all they prolly locals just like us and it's just a random coincidence. They probably think y'all stalking them just like y'all think they doing y'all." I explained and they shrugged before walking off.
Sai still ain't let up tho. " It's all good I promise." I kissed her forehead and she nodded walking off with miles leaving me and nae by ourselves.
" saint who really are those people ?" she asked and I sighed.
" that's my momma and the twins daddy."
