Omniscient POV
" Dinner in 15 ms.ma'am" the care taker Ms.Celine said and saiyor laughed at the nickname.
Once again Saiyor found herself back in a group home. But this time she wasn't complaining. She'd rather be here than with her mother and her husband. Saiyor made sure she caught until the judge said she could go back to the group home.
" thanks Ms.Celine" She said before stretching in the bed. Surprisingly for it to be a group home she didn't have to share the room with anybody unlike the other kids.
Saiyor had this thought that kept running through her head. But tried to block it out as best as she can. Since the court date she couldn't seem to let it go....
Why did her mother come?
After all that time , Why now ? The kids had been better off without them. So why show up when it's convenient for them when the kids been need them.
Flashback
" I'm they're biological mother and i'm ready to finally take responsibility."
" where have you been all this time Ms.Carter ?" the judge asked curious seeing as the mother wasn't invited but she could be of good use.
" I've been In a rehabilitation center along with my husband, who is the twins and my younger child's father." she spoke and small child peeked from behind her.
The twins quickly recognized the little boy and remembered him from school that day they waited with him for HIS parents. When all along it was THEY'RE that they were waiting on with they're little brother.
" do you have proof of your life changes ma'am?"she asked and angela nodded making her way to the stance with her residential papers of the center.
The judge quickly read over the documents before nodding and send away angela back to her seat.
" Alright , It seems as if we've found a solution to this. Instead of sending the Carter child and Jones Children into foster care we'll send them to they're mother. Where visitation for the brother is permitted. Once , Mr.Carter obtains proper legal documents to the court. Then, him and his mother will discuss custody."
" court adjudication"
Everyone who knew the children sat in silence watching angela approach the children. The Children watched they're mother with pure confusion. They were excited to see her but they couldn't help but think they were replaced.
The twins both sat and looked between each other before Sarai took the first move and jumped into her mother's arms feeling a sense of relief.
Quan sat with his face scrunched up not knowing what his twin was doing. He thought that they were on the same page on not speaking to her. But, still he was excited to see her so he joined in on the hug as well.
As the twins hugged they're mothers waist she couldn't help but she'd a few tears and hug them back enjoying this moment.
Not everyone was enjoying this moment. Saiyor sat beside them watching the moment not feeling it at all. Angela saw the expression her child held and she reached out to comfort her. But, Sai pulled away and walked off leaving her there.
Flashback over
Just as sai found herself about to leave she heard taps in the room, not knowing where they were coming from.
" what the hell"
she got up from the bed with a flip flop in her hand as a weapon before she headed towards her door. Not seeing anyone there she behind her checked every door including her bathroom and closet.
She then saw that the noise was coming from the window. She noticed it was someone behind the window but couldn't quite figure out who it was due to her being so far away.
" Miles?" Sai questioned before she laughed at the uncomfortable position he was in. He was scrunched up on top of the roof outside her window, so that his weight wouldn't make it fall through.
She quickly pulled him in and closed her bedroom door locking it. She then turned around examining him to see he was really there and he was. She quickly jumped into her arms and held him tight.
" what are you doing here ?" she said once they finally let each other go.
" i came to see you, I kinda followed y'all here after court the other day." He confessed and she giggled shaking her head pulling him over to her bed, where they both sat down.
" i missed you." she said brushing her fingers through his hair.
" i missed you too sai." he said laughing and laying his head on her chest.
" how's basketball been going ?" she asked and he sighed before just shrugging.
" it's been ight , but boring with you not being there, my parents not coming and saint being to himself it's been real off." he said and sai nodded her head understanding.
" well i've been stuck in here feeling like annie for weeks." she stated and he shook his head laughing at her.
" stop playin' man" he laughed but they both got quiet after they heard a knock at the door. Sai quickly covered his mouth as she answers whom ever it was.
" sai mama celine said dinner is ready." she heard one of the younger house mates say as they continued to knock.
" thanks corey, but tell her i'm not hungry im a bit sleepy." she said and removed her hand from his mouth once she heard the footsteps lead away from the door.
" thanks corey" miles mocked and sai hit his chest lightly as they both laughed. They soon stopped laughing and looked at each other getting lost there eyes.
One thing led to another and they leaned in kissing each other. This kiss was very different from any other kiss they've shared, This kiss held more passion and lust.
" We gotta stop we can't do this here." saiyor said placing her hands on his shoulders and pushing him away.
" then come with me."
