CHAPTER 5 // ESCAPING & THE AQUAINTANCE

An hour had passed and Mrs Wilkinson was dozing off already. I was doing a maths worksheet, whilst Caden had his earplugs in, feet on the desk, and basically not doing what he was supposed to.

Even though I have a bit of violence in me, I am still a good girl inside.

"Oi Summers!" He shouted pulling out one earplug. "Why don't we get out of here already?"

I wince at the shouts that were now flooding around the peaceful room.

"She locked the door doofus!" I whisper-shout, not looking away from my worksheet.

I hear him sigh and push his chair back. His feet land on the floor and I hear footsteps coming towards me, then a hand wrap round my wrist. Without any effort, he pulls me up.

"We're going to look for the key."

"Wait, you don't know where ghe key is?" I ask with disbelieving tone.
I sit back down and rest my head on the small desk.

He shakes his head and starts hunting through the drawers of whiteboard pens, rubbers, and report cards.

I see a grin pull over his face, he threw the report cards at me, wrapping an elastic band aroind them before hand.

"You seem to know a lot of people round here." He urges.

"So?" I say pretending-to-be innocently.

He rolls his eyes and gestures at a pen.

"Just make yourself useful and write some!"

I look around the room before saying,

"Make me." I grin, because I know this will piss him off. Surprisingly he walks towards me with (I hate to say) attractive grin on is face. My heart starts pounding as his face gets dangerously close to mine.
"Just do it!" I let out the large breath that I didn't know was inside of me. He pushes away and laughs.
"Damn you're cute close up!" He admits smirking.
"Really?" I say over excitedly.
I cover my mouth in shock.
He pauses. Turns around and stares deep into my eyes.
"No." That's when he cracks up. I hate him.
I give him the ultimate death glare. He looks at me with a confused look on this face, clearly taken aback from whatever he had in mind.
"What?" He questioned. "I was joking."
I doubt it.
I look away hiding my doubtful look.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw him sigh and turn back around to hunt for that oh-so-important key.
"FOUND IT!" He shouts making me jump. He holds it up in. I grin goofily.

Snore.

I glance over at the Mrs Wilkinson who was on the verge of waking up.
Before I could look back Caden had a tight grip of my wrist, and again he effortlessly pulls me up.
He starts to run to the front of the room, pulling me along with him. He comes to a sudden halt, quickly unlocking the door. Suddenly I become very panicked, Mrs Wilkinson was waking up. I reach up to tap Caden's shoulder but she snores and makes a 'huh?' Kind of noise. Caden*s head jerks towards her. He flings open the door and drags me out.
We sprint out, and hear Mrs Wilkinson hollar behind us.

Bare in mind, that seeing me sprint isn't the most attractive.
I can feel sweat already forming at the top of my forehead.

Wait.
Caden's hand is not on my wrist now, it is completely interlocked with mine, I blush, but I doubt it even shows through my already bright red from running face.
We finally become out of sight of Mrs Wilkinson.
I finally catch my breath and look up at Caden. Did I mention hiw tall he is compared to me?
It is sexy and I honestly hate to admit it.
I fall back against the cold lockers behind me. Caden steps closer, with only inches away from me. His hot breath tickles my neck. I giggle.

Weirdo, now he probably thinks I am insane.

I automatically blush and look down.
Why am I so weird? If Elliot was here he would be in fits of laughter.
I snort in an attempt to stop the laughter. Didn't work.
Caden breaks out. He was obviously trying to keep in a laugh too. We both crack up in the corridor, we can't help it.

When the laughter has died down a little, Caden speaks.
"I needed that laugh Blondie..." he chuckles again.
"We're on nickname terms are we?" I giggle and look into his brown eyes.
"Hell yeah!" He shouts, right in my ear, thanks.
"If we are you must be 'dickhead'!" I laugh at my own lame comeback.
"Hey, that's not nice!" He pouts in a childish manner.
"Says the guy who made an attempt to humiliate me."
He sighs and laughs again.
"Friends?" He asks holding out his hand.
"Aquaintances'." I say shaking his hand.
