Nicole's P.O.V.
I opened up my eyes, the light immediately burning them. I groaned in pain before slowly getting up to go close the curtains. I was weird. For some unknown reason, I can only get ready for school in the dark. Am I the only one?
Today was a Friday, thank God. I can finally catch up on American Horror Story and eat tubs of ice cream and cry over bands. Fun. I walked into my bathroom and took off my clothes, turning on the shower afterwards. I usually put the shower water on really hot, so I can practice burning in hell. Might as well get used to it, right?
I brushed my hair out so it's not in knots when I come out, and stepped in. The shower is the place where i can think, it's actually really relaxing-and to think, I used to dread showers when i was younger. I wouldn't give two shits if it got greasy, but now I go every other day.
I shampooed and conditioned my hair, which has gotten pretty long over this past year, and stepped out. I grabbed my towel and dried myself thoroughly before walking back to my room. I put on my robe, blowdried my hair and straightened it, then started doing my makeup. I did the usual, first I covered up the ugliness with concealer and liquid foundation, then I applied some liquid eyeliner in a wing shape, then some mascara.
I went into my closet and picked out today's outfit. I was feeling fun and flirty, so I decided to go with a black skater dress, with a blue and green flannel tied around my waist. I'm not being cliche and wearing a red and black flannel. Be proud, I'm not a fake bitch. then I grabbed my all-black converse, and slipped them on. I walked downstairs, grabbing my backpack and putting some waffles in the toaster. I remembered that my parents have left for another work trip last weekend, and I'm all by myself. This is the longest that they have ever been away, though. 12 months and counting. "I don't really miss them" , I thought to myself. They didn't really care about me.
