Chapter 2-Dad are you sure this isn't a College?
Aria's POV
I wake up to the morning sunshine shining through my window. I sit up and rub my eyes before sliding out of the bed and walking to the bathroom. I turn on the shower and slowly strip out of my clothes. As I step into the warm water I think I wonder what amazing things will happen today note my sarcasm. After my shower I slip into grey skinny jeans, a black tank top and a black and grey varsity jacket. I slip on my black Uggs as I walk out of the door I walk downstairs to find my dad in the kitchen putting appliances on the counters and drinking his morning coffee.
"Morning Dad" I say sitting at the island which is filled with boxes.
"Morning chocolate, How was your first night here?" He asks sipping his coffee.
"Okay I guess I really want to get out of the house today though."
"Well I still have to get you registered for school you've already missed three weeks your mom says you have to go tomorrow."
"What!!, But I just got here."
"I know I tried to tell her but you know how she is."
"Ugh Where is she anyway?" I ask feeling like I could push her off of a building and not think twice about it.
"She had a meeting with her new job so she left early." he says trying to plug up the toaster.
"Oh."
"Yeah well give me 15 minutes and we can go to your school." he says walking over to their room which is literally 5 steps away from the kitchen.
I pull my phone from my pocket to find 1 new message and a phone call. I unlock the screen to see one is from Kaiden and the phone call is from my best friends back home Kaila and Sky. Kaiden said Great, I'll come and visit in a few days don't tell mom and dad. I smile and text back Kk and I hope you know where it is. I quickly tap Kaila's name and call her she answers on the first ring.
"It's cool you didn't have to say goodbye it didn't hurt at all."
"I'm sorry but it would have been harder to leave if I saw you guys before I left."
"I understand Sky says Hi she's here with me so don't worry about her."
"Ok I'll talk to you guys later bout to go to my new school.
"Kk don't cut anybody she says knowing my tactics." I push my phone into my back pocket and go to the living room which is crowded with boxes in every corner I sit on the couch and start unpacking the decor that goes on the coffee tables.
"We can go now." dad says walking into the living room dressed in khaki pants and a plaid polo shirt.
"Ok" I say finishing the last table. We walk outside to the garage
"Your moms car arrived this morning so we got the truck to ourselves" he says with a smile pulling the keys out of his pocket.
I climb into the front seat and pull my seat belt on. Dad types the address into the gps and backs out of the drive way. after about 20 minutes we pull onto a campus 2 times as big as my old high school campus.
"Dad are you sure this isn't a college." I ask flipping through the map.
"I'm definitely going to get lost on my first day."
