Chapter 2: Metallic Resurrection

It's been about a week since the Incident. The police had reported it as an act of drunk driving and the driver was charged with a DUI, however, he was not charged with vehicular manslaughter due to the body not being present at the scene and the blood being unidentifiable. The victims that Sadao Ishimoto killed were taken to a morgue while the body of Sadao Ishimoto was taken by the Police's Forensics Team to be examined due to the strange circumstances. Since the Incident, Adonis and Joshua were not to be found. Meanwhile, medical procedures were being done, but not in a hospital.

In a lab somewhere underground and unknown to the public, Adonis is strapped to a medical bench, seemingly alive and well after being hit by a truck. However, he was disoriented. To his side from his point of view, He sees two figures, a black one and one with hints of brown and white. He also hears two voices, both unfamiliar to him, Adonis hears them have a conversation something along the lines of

" The stuff worked! It's like he never got hit."

"Yeah, but now I gotta do the dangerous part..."

After hearing this, Adonis blacks out. He then wakes up again to find himself in a small bedroom, which was filled with all sorts of snacks, books, clothes, and gadgets that were foreign to him. Joshua walks into the room to find Adonis awake.

As Adonis awakes, Joshua rushes to his side and gives him some water and a warm towel to put over his forehead. Now fully awake. Adonis asks

"Uuuuhhhhh, wha-what happened!?"

Joshua: "Well, after you stuffed yourself full of food, I went to the restroom and when I came back, you were passed out on the table. Afterward, the manager of the Big Bomb Burger kicked us out cuz they were closing. I then took you back to my house, put you on your bed that my mother made for you, and now here we are!"

Adonis: Huh, I guess I was really tired from all that traveling I did, and those burgers were really good, but you did take your sweet time in that bathroom.

Joshua: Yeah well that burger I had didn't sit well. I guess that's why they call it big BOMB burger, Amirite!?

Joshua starts to chuckle at his own joke awkwardly while Adonis looks at him in disappointment and shame and silence fills the room.

Joshua: Anyways, you don't feel pain anywhere do you?

Adonis: Umm, no. If anything I feel warmness on my forehead from the towel you gave me. Why?

Joshua: Oh, no reason, I just wanted to make sure that you're healthy and conscious, and right now you're both of those things so I'm doing my job right.

Adonis: Oh ok then, you seemed a little tense.

Joshua: Nah I'm fine.

"So now that you're awake, I gotta explain your situation tomorrow, You were supposed to start school today but given the fact that you had passed out earlier, you were unable to attend, Thankfully, I  let your teachers know your situation, except I left out how you passed out, and they were kind enough to excuse you, so you won't have to worry about the teachers giving you a hard time. I also asked the school to give you some extra help with your studies given your lack of education before coming here. When we get to school, you'll be greeted to Mr. Joe Sojiro, an old and great teacher of mine, one of my favorites in fact. He'll help you out with school stuff as well I. Did you get all that?"

Adonis looks at Joshua with a confused look and replies
" Ummm I think so."

Joshua: Good, I gonna probably explain some more stuff later but that's a problem for tomorrow. For now, we got the rest of the day to chill.
