Wholesome worker bee,
Flying from flower to flower.
Soaking in the nectar.
Her loyalty to her Queen.
Working to plenish the hive,
Dreaming of honey.
All the while,
Farming the flowers,
As she moves along.
Fierce Queen bee,
Fighting for her thrown.
Dreaming of the colony.
All the while,
Building a family,
Inside a loving hive.
Lustful little Drone,
Lives only for the Queen,
To service one thing.
All the while,
Waiting patiently,
For his final duty.
Author's Note:
I learned a little about Bees, and I feel pretty bad for those Drones. The sacrificial bee, so to speak. Did not know they died after mating. There are a few species that this happens. :(
