jun-sik is the first to go, he immediately goes to yea-won. they've been a match since the very beginning.
"𝗵𝗲'𝘀 𝗮 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻" "𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲"
nari sees hyeon-joong get up and walk towards the beach. she smiles with excitement, it's the first time they've seen each other since last night.
he walks to nari without even having to think about his decision. "you look really pretty." he says. "thank you." nari smiles.
they stand there waiting for everyone else. se-hoon walks down the beach nari gets nervous as she sees him approach her.
he looks deep in thought. hyeon-joong looks nervous as well. se-hoon reaches the two and stands in front of nari.
"𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴?" "𝗶 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁"
"nari" he sighs, "you were my first choice, and i thought that you'd be my last. we had a good time but neither one of us is right for the other."
nari nods understanding and leans in to give him a hug. they both sigh in content. "good luck." she whispers.
"don't get your dress dirty." se-hoon says as they pull away. nari lightly chuckles.
se-hoon waves goodbye to nari and hyeon-joong and heads towards ji-yeon.
"𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀" "𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝘄𝗼𝗮𝗵"
jin-taek goes to so-yeon without skipping a beat. and hyun-seung to jia which didn't surprise anyone. si-hun is the last to go.
"i wonder who he'll choose" hyeon-joong says. "i think he'll chose su-min" nari guesses, "they've gotten close."
si-hun surprises everyone by walking past su-min and going to jia.
"what" nari says in shock, "poor su-min." "i don't expect this." hyeon-joong adds.
now it's time for the girl to decide if she wants to leave with the guy.
ji-yeon and se-hoon are the first couple to walk off.
"i'm happy for them." nari smiles, "and to think i used to be jealous." "so did i" hyeon-joong says, looking down at nari.
yea-won scares nari a bit thinking she was leaving without jin-sik. thankfully she came back and they left together.
not long after, so-yeon and jin-taek left as well. "ah the married couple." nari laughs.
jia is the next to decide.
"who do you think she'll choose?" hyeon-joong asks nari. she shakes her head, "i have no clue." hyeon-joong chuckles, "she's your best friend." "true. but she's very mysterious. i won't be surprised if she leaves alone."
turns out nari spoke too soon. jia did in fact leave alone.
nari and hyeon-joong were the last. he turns to her and gets serious.
"nari" he takes a deep breath, "you're the only person i've ever liked this much. no one can compete with you. i've lived long enough without knowing you and i wanna live even longer knowing you. i'll move to new york if i have to. i'm like a puppy, i'll always keep you safe and make you laugh and be by your side as long as you want."
*𝗰𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴*
"it sounds like you're proposing." nari lightly laughs. she's never heard a guy say such nice things. not even in a 90's romcom. they've only known each other for a few days but it really does feel like forever.
nari grabs his hand and puts her favorite golden ring on his pinky finger since it's the only one it'll fit on. the whole time, hyeon-joong looking down at her with a smile. there aren't any words that can compete with what he said so she simply interlocks their hands together and leads them away from the beach.

"so you'd move to new york?" nari raises her brow at him. "yeah. i've always liked the city." he says, "maybe we can even move in together one day." "only if we get a puppy." nari smiles.
