the girls walk to the kitchen later that day for dinner and notice that all the guys are already there. as they get closer another figure appears. a girl.
"𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁?''
"a girl?" yea-won questions. "are you jealous?" nari teasingly asks. they all laugh and near the kitchen.
with a new girl in inferno, some girls feel excited, while others secretly threatened. that was nari until she saw the big smile hyeon-joong gave her which she returned. it's like he didn't even notice there was a new girl.
after agreeing to make pajeon, kimchijeon, and rice, everyone got to work. nari was in charge of cutting the veggies.
"let me help you." se-hoon says and walks over the girl. hyeon-joong shakes his head and goes over, "no i've got it. i'll help her."
the tension in the kitchen was very obvious. nari was glad to spend more time with hyeon-joong. the new girl looked around uncomfortably. the rest of the girls just kept doing what they had been doing. the guys went outside to start the fire. and se-hoon scoffed and muttered 'fine'. he then went to help the new girl.
nari noticed that se-hoon and su-min, the new girl were getting along. however, she didn't feel any jealousy. instead nari focused only on hyeon-joong. they were doing a competition on who could cut the veggies faster. everyone else had gone outside to taste the soup.
"i'm definitely going to win." nari smiles. hyeon-joong laughs, "sure, just don't hurt yourself."
nari was winning. right as she was going to, she hears hyeon-joong drop his knife.
"i cut myself." he hissed, clenching his hand into a fist.
*𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗽𝘀*
nari looked over in worry, "what?! oh no i'm sorry it was my idea. i don't know what to do. maybe someone here is a doctor-" hyeon-joong interrupts her with a loud laugh. nari furrows her brows before realization hits her, she takes his fist and opens it. nothing.
*𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳*
nari scoffs and let's go of his hand. hyeon-joong finally stops laughing, "oh come on nari it was just a joke." the girl stays quiet before beginning to laugh as well. the two look like crazy people to those outside. cute but crazy.
everyone sat down to enjoy the food. nari sat in front of hyeon-joong and next to jia. the whole time se-hoon kept throwing comments to su-min.
after dinner, the group walked to the campfire to warm up a bit. nari and jia sat down and se-hoon sat on the other side of nari. jia have her an 'uh oh' look. hyeon-joon sat across from them while giving se-hoon a few dirty glances.
"among us here, is there a specific person that you like?" si-hun asks se-hoon. "yeah. definitely." he nods, "i'd like to ask hyeon-joong the same question. is there one specific person you like?" "yes there is." he answers while looking at nari, "i'd like to ask the same question to nari." everyone 'ooos' nari feels all eyes on her. "yes."
the girls go back to their tent and change into their sleeping clothes.

they all lay in their beds while gossiping.
"you were put on the spot nari." jia says. "it was crazy." yea-won adds. "yeah." nari responds. wanting to take the attention off her she asks so-yeon, "how are you feeling about jin-taek?"
"i don't know anymore." so yeon sighs, "i wrote to se-hoon the first day. isn't that crazy? should i just go for him?"
no one knew how to respond only ji-yeon said 'yes'. nari was confused, she never saw them talk but was happy so-yeon wanted to talk to other guys. su-min looked a little bit upset first the whole nari thing now this?
"nari." hyeon-joong says from outside the tent, "can we talk." nari happily gets up and follows him to his tent.
the two sit on his bed. "i was jealous with the whole se-hoon thing." hyeon-joong starts, "but you're free to talk to whoever you want." "well when i went to paradise with you it was different than when i went with him." nari smiles. "good different?" "very good." "hold my hand." hyeon-joong takes nari's hand into his.

the two singles talk all the way to midnight while holding hands the whole time.
