Knocking was heard at the door.
It was heard but ignored. It's 9am, no one wants to talk to people this early in the morning and yet the knocking does not stop.

Duke stayed the night before and decided to answer the door. "Uh...hello?" He spoke in an awkward tone.

Alex held a smile with a suspiciously long stare. "Who are you?" He asked, still smiling eerily. Duke coughed. "Shouldn't I be asking that?" He smiled back.

To any outsider, this would look like a friendly conversation. In actuality, Duke and Alex were having a stand-off. Each thinking they were protecting the girls in the apartment when they really were just being stupid.

"What's going on?" Eden said as she walked out in her pyjamas. "This weird man was knocking very harshly on the door. I answered it cause what if he's a serial killer waiting to kidnap one of you girls while no one was around?" He explained.

"I could say the same for you, friend." Alex retorted, still holding a tight smile. He turned his head to Eden and loosened his smile. "Eden! Looking lovely as always! Your eyes are so beautiful I could just gouge them out and put them on display in my home," Alex chimed.

As explained before, red is Eden's favourite colour. "Awe! You're so sweet! I haven't even done my makeup yet and I just rolled out of bed so there's no way I'm that presentable yet," Eden giggled.

Duke stood there painfully confused before deciding to just head back to his partners room. "So uh," Alex started, his smile finally dropping. "Who's he?" He asked with a sort of menacing look in his eyes.

"Oh him? He's just my roommates boyfriend! He's staying here for a few days I guess," Eden answered with a nervous laughter. "Oh," Alex responded. He stayed quiet as he leaned on the doorframe and looked around.

The silence was so loud.

Alex stared at Eden for what should've been an uncomfortably long time but of course, to Eden, was not long enough.

"You're so beautiful. I want to take your head off of your body and display it for all my guests to see." He stated in a monotone voice. Eden giggled and twirled her hair. "You mean like a picture right?" She blushed. Butterflies filling her stomach thinking he is the one shes been waiting for when really she should be checked in to a psych ward.

"Something like that," Alex smiled. Max, who witnessed everything, stood in the kitchen and stared at the pair in confusion. "What the hell?" She blurted. Quick to not make any more noise, she ran to her room.

"I have to get ready for work!" She said as she slammed her door. Alex stared at the door, caught up in his own thoughts. It wasn't till he heard Eden calling his name that he was brought out of his trance.

"Did you hear what I said?" Eden questioned, intrigued by what caught his attention. "Huh? Oh uh, yeah. Date, you and me, tomorrow at 5. Got it. Also I came to ask for sugar. I have cake batter sitting out," He flashed his creepy smile once more as Eden handed him a sandwich bag of sugar.

"Should be enough, right?" She commented. The mam nodded and thanked her before leaving, back to his apartment. Supposedly baking a cake.

Duke, Dannie, and Eden were sitting on the couch watching a movie.

"She's ugly," Dannie pointed out. Duke only laughed. "What? She is. I could do that and way more," They further explained. It was about to turn into a rant about the choice of the actors and portrayals of characters but then, Eden suggested something.

"Why don't we bother Max at work?" She suggested as she brought the chip bowl into the kitchen. Dannie gasped. "Thats a good idea!" Duke had an iffy look on his face. "Wouldn't that distract her and potentially make her lose her job?" He expressed.

"We don't actually distract her. We just make her mildly uncomfortable at work! Like staring into her soul as we drink empty waters or asking for the most ridiculous requests and the complaining that it wasn't done right." Eden explained as she washed the empty bowl.

"You do need to stop the sexual harassment aspect of it though. You're a very hands-on person. Every since high school you've been groping girls, smacking asses and getting uncomfortably close. You're weirder than that neighbour guy. Oh, Duke told me he visited this morning, what did he need?" Dannie blabbed.

"You know, for a person who's very reserved, you sure do talk a lot. Also I never did any of that stuff! If I did, which I didn't, it was all a joke!" Eden started. "He also just came for sugar but flirted with me a bit. I think he likes me!" She giggled.

Dannie looked disgusted and Duke looked concerned. "That definitely was not flirting, Eden. He looked like he wanted to eat you. You need to be careful of him," Duke urged. Eden rolled her eyes.

"You are just over reacting! And he can eat me anytime he wants! Hehe," She joked as she started washing an apple to cut.

Dannie stood up and pulled her out of the kitchen. "Let me do it. You do it so wrong that it annoys me," They explained.

"You're very...special...aren't you, darling?" Duke said, an awkward plastered smile on his face. "I have a knife." Dannie threatened. "AHEM!" Eden coughed. "Anyway, I do it wrong cause I know it upsets you and gets you to do it for me so HA!" Eden cheered.

"You're such a fucking child," Dannie mumbled as she chopped away at the apple. "Here, apple slices." She sighed as she placed them on the island counter.

"I'm going to get dressed. Duke come," Dannie stated as she walked to their room. "Coming!" Duke replied, following his girlfriend closely behind.

"Walk him like a dog sis," Eden chuckled as she ate her apples.
