My head on the window as I look out side, avoiding looking dd in the eyes.

Fidgeting with my hands as he turns down a wide street on the main road.

"Um.. can we stop at Krispy Kreme and get a box of donuts?" I asked dd as I stop leaning on the window to face him.

When he stops at a red light he quickly looks over at me and says "yeah we can.."

"O-oh ok.." I said being nervous and biting my bottom lip looking down still fidgeting with my fingers.

My heart is beating fast as I remember what he said the other day.

The light turns green and dd pulls off, one of the first out of the few cars that were sitting at the light to go.

After a few minutes on the road we pull into a Krispy Kreme and go to the drive way. We went to the one where all the white people be at.. dd said he didn't want to have to kill a nigga today.

I grab my phone as dd orders the certain donuts and I check the time.
