You Didn't See That Coming?

At the Avengers tower:

The disappointed duo stepped into the living room where everyone else was hanging out. The room fills with silence, everyone waiting for an update. "Well finally, I thought you two will never arrive." Tony complained. Steve looks at Nat in worry since she hasn't been the same for the last forty minutes.

"We failed the mission." Steve confesses and everyone's gaze turns to him. "What? Did Mark get away? Again? Do you two understand that this was literally our last chance to...?!", "Mark is dead, Tony." Steve interrupted before Tony could finish his sentence. "Come again." Stark's face drops dead serious, almost to range.

"We came there and he was already dead, alright?" As Nat spoke up she turned to leave the room as there was nothing else to discuss so far anymore. Steve glanced at her slightly confused at a lie that just came out of her mouth. "Not alright!" Tony said back taking a few deep breaths. Nat stopped at his comment but didn't turn around, waiting for him to continue.

"If Mark was already dead as you arrived it would have only taken a few minutes for you to find him as I assume the guards weren't there or were but dead, too. That means you two would have already been back here at least an hour ago. So, I suggest you start speaking the truth Romanoff since we are on the same team!" She didn't say anything. She didn't even turn around to look at her team. She walked away and left the room. Tony's eyes move on Steve. "Rogers?" Steve walked further into the room and sat on the couch next to Sam.

"There was some lady with someone. They arrived there a little earlier than us and succeeded in killing Mark. I don't know why she did that but she shot me in the leg, and seemed to be really passionate about what she was doing. I haven't seen her anywhere around."

"Well what was up with Nat then, why did she lie?" Wanda asked, concerned. "I don't know but I think she knows her. I tried to talk to her on the ride back here but she didn't even look at me."

"I'm gonna go through the cameras to see if I can find her or anything about her at least." And with that Tony left the room. The others stayed as they were continuing to talk about the mission.

The following morning started with everyone meeting in a meeting room. To everyone's surprise Nat came too. Tony patted his arm and a picture of an attractive woman in a club fighting with men came into the screen. As soon as the picture gets visible to everyone Wanda and Bucky immediately shoot each other a look with their eyes without anyone noticing.

"I couldn't find much about her but I'm hoping agent Romanoff here could make my job a little easier." Tony drawed his attention back to the screen. "The only thing I found about her was that she is a really highly paid and respected hitwoman who doesn't go by her real name anywhere. However thanks to my extremely rare talent and big brain I did find her real name and who she truly is. Wanna step in Nat?" Nat's head immediately turned towards Tony. "Just let it be Tony." He rolled his eyes to look at everybody else. Nat buried her face in her hands, ready to face the truth.

"Well then let me introduce to all of you. Ladies and gentlemens this mystery lady's birth name turns out to be Irina...Romanoff." He glances at Nat and so does everybody else in shock. "Nat, is this true?" Steve asks in disbelief. "Of course it is. When have I ever been wrong?" Tony answers instead.

"So, do you know where she hides?" Bucky asks, burning up all in anger. Wanda looks at him right away, seeking his intentions. "Yes, actually. And I'm going to pay her a little visit since she's become really useful after Mark died.", "You think she is going to trust you?" Nat chuckles after her comment. "No, she's not a friend or family but, there's no way she's gonna say no to our next mission.", "Even if she agreed, Yelena would never let her do something like that." Tony thinks for a second and then turns around, ready to leave. "Don't worry, I'll figure it out." He winked at her and left.

A/N

So the second chapter is out this one was more like a filler chapter so I'm sorry it wasn't amazing buuut there'll be more and this will get really interesting. How does Bucky and Wanda know Irina? What mission is Tony planning that includes her? What will she say? Stay tuned guys! I'll try my best to not take too long publishing these xoxo
