Evil fairy
Context: Ainsley (the girl) and her species is usually a calm species. The most violent you'd see out of them is a casual flipping someone off. Though a seperate species started attacking them, and a few of the fae's (including ainsley) had to give up their peaceful nature and adopt one of violence and cruelty. The fae's called them the "dreads" because they would often make others feel dreadful of their lives. Their magic (to which you have many kinds) will turn red when angered. The dreads are fae's that are basically corrupt. Ainsley is a dread whose magic used to be filled with forest and love, but now is tinted with a bloody, corruptive being that will haunt her forever :3
