I sit, listening to the sound of the water running down my hair.

I look up at Xavier as he runs a golden comb through my hair.

His hands were hot, but the water it seemed to warm only the comb.

"I'm sorry about your parents, Xavier."

"My parents death was not your fault. "He says.

"I know. But I'd be sad if I lost my parents."

.....

Xavier halts his soft combing of Tatiana's hair.

"Even your mother?"

Tatiana was silent.

"..I don't think so anymore."she says softly.

He continues combing her hair.

"Then you understand how I feel towards my parents death."

"You didn't love them."she says softly.

Xavier shakes his head.

"Not did they love me."

He finishes coming through her hair and lets it sink into the milky water.

"I'm done. Clothe yourself."he says before standing, causing Tatiana to sit up a as he walks out of the bathroom.

...

I walk out of the room, clutching my wet hair in a thick cloth that was provided.

I see Xavier sitting on the large bed, his back to me.

His back was muscular. But my attention was drawn to the large, mangled bite scar on his shoulder, neck area.

"Did Aha do that?" I ask.

He sits up a bit.

"You know of Aha?"he asks.

"Nadia told me."I say.

"The skull, at the wedding. Was it your father?"

He nods.

"You should rest. We have much to do tomorrow."he says, standing and walking over to the large lantern on his side.

I look at the bed. The first bed I would share with a man.

The first bed is share as a married woman.

He begins turning the fire on the lantern down, and the room dims a bit.

I carefully pull the nearly laid bedcovers back and then sit on the soft linens.

I feel the covers pull back again and I see Xavier getting into the bed.

The scar on his shoulder was so captivating. I wonder what led up to him getting it.

"Xavier...I -"he cuts me off.

"Sleep, Tatiana."

I sit back a bit and adjust the feather pillow on the bed, laying against it.

...

I wake up, unaware I had even fallen asleep.

I see dim sunlight sleeping into the room, the sun rising over the mountains.

I look over, seeing Xavier was missing. But I see him across the room, placing his royal jewelry on.

"You should wake up."Xavier says.

I sit up slowly, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Your gown is there."

I look over, seeing a beautiful gold and black gown.
