I sit at the large dining table next to Xavier. Nadia was on the opposite side of me, along with the remaining members of his council.

"You're majesty, why were we not informed of your treaty with Kofi until now?"one asks, causing Xavier to look at him.

"The same reason you're upset about it. You wanted something."Xavier says nonchalantly, cutting into the mutton on his plate.

"You wanted something too. You got what you wanted, and as members of your royal council you shouldn't ostracize us from important decisions like that."

"As members of my council, you are to support me and advise me as king. But I'm perfectly capable of making decisions on my own."Xavier says.

"I think we should all just eat. Before any "firings" take place."Nadia says, picking at her food.

I immediately release a small chuckle, then immediately cover my mouth.

Xavier looks over at me and I feel my cheeks burning with embarrassment.

"E-excuse me."I say softly.

Mumbling amongst the council members begin as Xavier looks away from me.

"I don't think I gave you permission to discuss my wife."Xavier says, immediately silencing the chatter.

"You may laugh when you see fit, Tatiana."

I smile and look down.

Nadia smirks as she looks at her brother who was mapping a new expedition for his explorers.

"What are you grinning at."He says, looking up from the map.

"You're in love with her aren't you?"she smirks.

"Why are you concerned."he asks nonchalantly.

"Because I believed you'd never change, brother."she says, walking over to the wine table.

"And yet you have. As if she was a cute to your darkness."

Xavier looks up at the crown that was closed into a glass case on the table.

"I wish I could touch her, Nadia."

Nadia looks back, seeing her brother forlornly looking at the crown.

"I think I do love her. But..I don't know what love is. I don't know how to show her any other way."he says.

"Oh Xavier. I hate seeing you so sad."she says, walking over to him.

"Perhaps if you only wore it once. Just once, you could touch her without burning her."Nadia shrugs.

"The crown is powerful, Nadia... The things it says...The power it gives me."he says.

"I will be sure to remove it from you if need be, Xavier."She says.

He sighs softly, looking back at the crown.

Xavier looks down at the crown that sat on the pillow before him.

He then looks out the window, down to the village. Tatiana was in the bath, waiting for him.

The purple crystals glisten in the setting sun, tempting him already.

He looks back towards the bathroom and sighs.

"Only once."he says softly before picking up the crown.

He takes a deep breath before slowly placing the crown on his head.

He feels the crowns magic immediately and releases his breath at the sense of euphoria the power brought.

His eyes open and his eyes reflect purple. He looks down at his gloved hands. He begins removing the gloves as he walks away from the window, towards the bathroom.

He tosses the gloves to the floor before pushing open the bathroom door, seeing Tatiana in the bath.

She sits up a bit and then looks at him and gasps.

"Xavier. You're wearing the crown."she says softly.

"I wanted to test something."Xavier says, closing the bathroom door.

"Test something?"I question as he walks over, kneeling beside the bathtub.

"Yes. Do you trust me?"he asks.

He had a strange look in his eyes.

"..y-yes."I say softly.

He slowly raises his bare hand, and then brings it to my face causing me to gasp.

He cups my cheek, and I close my eyes. Surprisingly, i didn't feel the burn.

My eyes open and I look at Xavier before placing my hand on his on my cheek.

"It worked."he says, his other hand coming to my face.

"You're touching me."I smile.

"I'm going to continue touching you."he says, his hands moving down my body and making me blush.
