Chapter 1:Sorrow eyed demon
At a distance, voices could be heard waking a young boy of dark locks and bright blue eyes laying in a pile of hay. He gently opened his eyelids letting the sun burn through.
-HAA! —Screamed-he in agony. He twisted himself to hide back in the pile.— What happened to me? —He Thought before looking at his hands.— My skin... it's all... dark! Wanted-he to say.
He sneaked out his head to see a little path leading outside by a tunnel Crafted out of old planks of wood. That tunnel was surely not the best, but could hold the light away from the boy. Harshly made, it had holes and cracks that led into him getting burned at the end.
-Oh no! —Said a familiar voice yet unrecognizable.— I thought I covered all of the light... Here, let me take you home so I can heal you! —Said the little girl in a lovely and childish tone.
-Thanks..? He thanked in a quiet and muted whisper.
-You seem unsure, don't you remember two nights ago, I defended you from that red-eyed man!
He simply let her know with a head shake from side to side.
-I think you got cursed 'cause you had beautiful blond hair and now it's black! At least, they didn't take your eyes. Hi hi! —she chuckled.— Anyway, I'm Malon, Talon's daughter! I wanted to get to you earlier, but Ingo didn't want me to see you. Can you imagine that he wanted to sell you to the king 'cause you were to scarry?
-...— He did not answer.
-Well, if that makes you any better, I don't think you're scary at all! You're just a little lost, ain't you?
-hmm...—He mumbled.
-You are a quiet one, I know. No problem, I can talk for both of us! Hi hi!
-"I can't talk" —Tried-he to mime.
-I'm sorry...Do you know any way of communication we could use?
-"signs?" —He pointed his hands.
-I can learn it! —She said happily and took his hand and a basket of eggs.
While opening the door, the red-haired girl had to push away some runaway coocos letting go of her friend's hand. "Woush! You aren't going anywhere!" Said Malon, closing the door shut. She then went straight up in the house part of the building, leaving the basket on the counter beside the stairs. It was a pretty welcoming place with yellowish walls, a bed in the left corner of the room and a table she made him sit at. She then took out a roll of gas, a bottle of lotion and a little red fabric bag from a white drawer and approached her new friend.
-I can't tell that it won't hurt, but you will feel better after. Got it... eh... forest boy..? What's your name again?
-"Link" —He spelled and shyly smiled at her.
-Oh, Yeah! I remember now. So... you ready?
He slowly knobbed, a bit scared.
-Don't worry! I'll be as quick as possible. —She took some coton out of the bag and scrubbed lotion on Link's wounds. He was quiet as always, an empty emotion on his face as tears rolled down his checks.— Are you crying? —She stopped to look at his face.
-I look like... a monster...-He whispered in a broken and muted voice. Water was going all over his tunic down from his eyes. He could hear Malon calling him but was too far in his mind to understand. Words were like gibberish to him until Malon took his hands. "Link, you are NOT a monster!"— How can you know? You've known me for what, a day or two? — He said, trying to use his voice without success.
