Chapter 2:
Cats and Dogs

Everyone was staring at each other asking themself many questions. Shade then dropped out of his thoughts and tried to get the attention.

-Hey — He waved — If he was on the throne, where is the king... or princess Zelda perhaps?

-That's... actually a good question! — Said Midna.

-Indeed! — Added Malon. — We might find them in the dungeons.

-Let's go then! — Said Hunter leading the way out the room.

Although no one knew their way into the castle, both Links' intuition was enough to guide them. After all, they've been going through a lot worse! They headed out in a stairwell of stone walls.
A strange aura prowled, only some of the candlesticks in the hallways were lit and was even darker in the long staircase surrounding a pillar going down. Some sleeping bats were hanging on the rooftop but strangely, no other signs of life could be seen. Just as they stepped out the stairs, A cat walked in on them. It was a tricolor felin of white fur patched with some gray and orange. It meowed and rubbed its back on Hunter's legs. He bends over to pet the animal before it runs and sits in front of him. Not understanding, he made an expression on his face. The little one made his way to Hunter's neck where it pulled a long necklace ornate of a black stone that shone. Midna quickly grabbed it before being touched.

-What is it? — Asked Malon curious.

-Nothing! — Replied Midna, hiding the artifact.

-Doesn't look like nothin'!

-Well, you see bad! Pout-she

-Sight — I... When going into the twilight, I couldn't stay like... that — He pointed at himself.

-Like what? — Questioned Shade.

-A humain.

Both Shade and Malon were looking at each other asking themselves what he was talking about. They turned once again at him and Midna.

-I needed to save the lands of Hyrule but it was covered by the twilight which made everyone turn into spirits. At least, most people. — He paused — I have this on the back of my hands, the triforce, so I Didn't turn into one.

Midna looked at him at bit of frustration and pity on her face.

-I turned into something else, an animal... I think that Kitty wants to tell me something, but I can't tell what, in this form...

-Someone told me — Began Shade — that whatever the look you show outside, inside, you're the same...

Malon looked at Him with a smile.

-You are not a monster.

-Hunter lifted his gaze and smiled. — Thanks.

-No prob. — He signed.

-Ok, fine! — Midna crossed her arms. — Tell them, they are obviously people we should trust! — She screamed with sarcasm.

-Hunter burst into laughter, almost crying. — Oh Midna, you're iconic! — He wiped his eyes and continued. — So... anyway! By going into the twilight, the triforce gave me a shape I could use in it, a wolf form! With it, I can even talk with other animals.

-Wow! Well why don't you use your gift? We could use some help even from a cat. —Said the young red headed.

-Wh– He was surprised —  You really think so?

-Sure do!

Hunter was happy with his new friends' acceptance and looked down at Midna who held the stone. Seeing him, she threw it at him before crossing her arms and legs. She was kind of grumpy. The oldest took a deep breath and closed his eyes as he began his transformation. His nose elongated, his legs shorten and curved, claws came out and a tail drew its black fur. Nothing but a wolf was left of the hylian they met if it wasn't for his mind. He then approached the cat and barked gently:
