Chapter 8

For several days Qingyuan and Lanying rarely saw each other because of each other's busyness. They only met at night and when Qingyuan felt the pain was unbearable he would go out for a while and take painkillers. Lanying asked him but Qingyuan said he was fine when Lanying caught him taking medicine.

Today was Sunday so Qingyuan could enjoy his holiday in peace in his apartment. Lanying went to work so Qingyuan was alone but it didn't take long because Haoyu and Haoran came over. They pulled Qingyuan into the room.

"I just heard that you're dating Lanying." Haoyu said worriedly. "Yes." Qingyuan said confusedly. "Are you crazy? You could die. The antidote hasn't been found yet and you're enduring the pain yourself just because of your selfishness. You can't fall in love otherwise the poison will kill you so you have to stay away from Lanying and break up with him. You don't care about your life anymore if you do not do it?!" Haoran shouted angrily. "Stop screaming if Lanying hears you how?!" Qingyuan said annoyed.

But without them knowing that Lanying was indeed at the door of the room and heard him. He quietly left from there without being noticed. "I've made up my mind on this choice. Please respect it Haoran. It's my life." Qingyuan said flatly. Haoran left angrily. Haoyu caught up with Haoran and left.

Qingyuan was worried that Lanying had not been home for the past few days and called Lanying's manager. But Lanying's manager said Lanying had no schedule for this month. Qingyuan looked for Lanying and found him in the bar. Qingyuan took Lanying home.

Qingyuan cleaned Lanying's body with a towel and changed Lanying's clothes after Qingyuan went to sleep. But something unexpected happened the next day. A major event that brings disaster to Lanying and Qingyuan's relationship.

Qingyuan was preparing breakfast for the two of them when suddenly Lanying brought his luggage out. "Where are you going?" Qingyuan asked confused. "I'm tired of you. We broke up." Lanying said coldly. “Did I do something wrong? You can…” Qingyuan was cut off.

"I enjoy playing with you. But I get bored after a few days, At first I thought it would be hard to get you but it turns out you're so easy to get. I already won the bet so you're useless." Lanying said laughing happily. Qingyuan was shocked to hear that. Lanying left carrying his luggage.

After recovering from his shock, Qingyuan laughed sadly. "In this life I am the most stupid person." Qingyuan said crying. Qingyuan spat out a mouthful of blood before fainting.

---Su Family's Mansion---

Lanying drank wine like drinking water. He was like a madman who did not want to live anymore. Both of his parents were on a business trip. Nobody cares about it. After a month has passed, Lanying is back to work as usual but Lanying has lost his smile.

All the crew were even shocked to see him. Because the old Lanying was so friendly and warm. The current Lanying was so cold and indifferent as if his happiness had been taken away from him forever.

---Zhang Family Residence---

"Until when is he going to stay asleep?" Haoyu asked worriedly. "Until he's ready to wake up." Zhang Yuan replied. Qingyuan was bedridden for a month and IV drips adorned his arm. Haoyu found Qingyuan in his apartment and blood on the floor. Haoyu immediately brought Qingyuan to Zhang Yuan.

"Why is it like this?" Haoyu said frustrated. "He was heartbroken. Someone who is heartbroken makes the poison stronger." Zhang Yuan explained. "I don't even know what to do? That person isn't like a human either. I don't know who to blame." Haoyu said frustrated. "Let them solve their problems." Zhang Yuan said calmly.

Time flies, Five months later Qingyuan wakes up. As soon as he woke up, Qingyuan was presented with an antidote that was successfully made. Qingyuan only smiled slightly. For two weeks, Qingyuan took good care of his body. Then he disappeared with the forgetting potion. No one could find Qingyuan no matter where they looked.

"A Yuan, remember not to come home at night." A woman's advice. "I'll be right back after bringing him to see my grandfather." Qingyuan said smiling. "Lan Qing, Don't be naughty." The woman advised the boy Qingyuan was carrying. "I remember it mother." Said the boy called Lan Qing sullenly.

The two get in the car and leave. "Are we going to see uncle Haoyu?" Lanqing asked excitedly. "Uncle Haoyu is very busy maybe next time." Qingyuan said smiling sweetly. The journey then became silent as Lanqing fell asleep.

Arriving at Zhang Yuan's house, Lanqing entered happily. "You're not coming in?" Zhang Yuan asked. "I didn't go in. My wife is still waiting for me, so I have to go home before nightfall." Qingyuan said smiling.

"I thought you wouldn't smile anymore. I think your decision to marry your wife was a good one. Even if you were only trying to return the favor at first." Zhang Yuan said smiling.

"Liu Ying has been very good to me. I have to repay her kindness. I'm comfortable with my life now." Qingyuan said smiling. "In the end you have to go home. Otherwise your four friends will go straight to your house." Zhang Yuan joked.

"They dare to mess up so I'll skin them. I'll go first." Qingyuan said smiling before starting his car and leaving. Zhang Yuan came in to see his great-grandson.

Qingyuan was driving up the street near his house when he saw a huge fire burning from the direction of his house. Qingyuan immediately sped up and got out of the car. But the fire was too big for him to enter before the wooden house collapsed. The fire department arrived and put out the fire. In the damaged building found two bodies.
