Chapter 18

"Are you sick?" Qingyuan asked confused. "You're sick!" Lanying said angrily. "I've heard everything from Liu Song. If he didn't tell me this. Until when do you intend to hide from me?" Lanying said furiously.

Qingyuan fell silent. "Come on, no need to fight." Lei Hong said annoyed. "He hiding this is his fault but he also did it to protect you from them." Add Lei Hong.

"If Qingyuan doesn't act today, it is likely that tomorrow you will be in big trouble." Liu Song said getting in the car. "You got any new information?" Qingyuan asked. Liu Song nodded.

"They will trap Lanying tomorrow at the hotel." Liu Song explained. Qingyuan rolled his eyes lazily. "Playing victim again? Disgusting." Qingyuan said flatly.

"Let's go eat. I'm hungry." Lei Hong said suddenly. "Alright, let's go eat. Young Master Su please drive properly." Qingyuan said smiling. Lanying sighed and started the car.

Evening comes pretty quickly. Qingyuan was busy with all the documents piled up in his possession and didn't care about anyone. The atmosphere seems quite calm. Everyone seems to be asleep.

Qingyuan was sleepy and got up to make coffee. Qingyuan paused to see Liu Song behind him with a cup of coffee in his hand. "For you." Liu Song said.

"You're awake?" Qingyuan asked and taking a cup of coffee. "I was reviewing some of the documents you provided and found a problem." Liu Song said. "Where?" Qingyuan asked. Liu Song walked over to the family table which had files piled up.

Qingyuan and Liu Song started to get busy with the documents. Morning came quickly and finally their task was done. "You go to the tax office and report this and then pay the rest of the unpaid taxes. After that we will cooperate with the tax authorities. I don't think things are as simple as it looks. There are people who want to harm my grandfather." Qingyuan said.

"I understand." Liu Song said. Qingyuan was busy looking through all the files his grandfather had on that matter. Not long after Liu Song left, Qingyuan also caught up with all the data he had collected and did not return for several days.

Lanying who came back was shocked not to find Qingyuan. Lanying was away for a few days on business. Lei Hong told him. Lanying was quite shocked. Qingyuan returned with a tired face.

"You are okay?" Lanying asked worriedly. Qingyuan nodded. "That person caught?" Liu Song asked. Qingyuan nodded. "My grandfather's bad habits paid off. Likewise, the CCTV shows that my grandfather is innocent." Obviously Qingyuan.

"What habits?" Lanying asked. "Every conversation he has about the office is always recorded when he talks to other people. Then the CCTV has also been checked." Obviously Qingyuan smiled.

"I'm going to rest first." Qingyuan said smiling. "You need to go to the office right? Go." Liu Song said. Lanying nodded and Lei Hong left with Lanying.

At noon, Qingyuan and Liu Song were eating when they suddenly quieted down and put down their chopsticks in their hands. "Get out. No need to hide anymore." Qingyuan said flatly.

Tens of assassins came out and attacked. Qingyuan and Liu Song dodged perfectly before counterattacking within 30 minutes. The killers were caught and tied up.

Liu Song called the police. It wasn't long before the police arrived and sealed off the crime scene. Qingyuan and Liu Song were forced to move while not forgetting that they brought Lanying and Lei Hong's things with them.

Before going to Qingyuan's apartment, Qingyuan and Liu Song went to the police station to provide testimony, which lasted several hours.

---Qingyuan Apartment---

Qingyuan lay down on the sofa. Liu Song went to cook. "Clean yourself up. We'll eat later." Liu Song said. Qingyuan got up and went to take a shower. Lanying opened the door roughly.

Food is ready. "Where's Ah Yuan?" Lanying asked worriedly. "Bathroom." Liu Song said. Lanying immediately went to Qingyuan's room. Lei Hong stared at the food silently.

Qingyuan fell asleep in the bathtub. "A Yuan" Lanying called. Qingyuan opened his eyes lazily. "Noisy." Qingyuan muttered under his breath.

"Are you okay?" Lanying asked worriedly. Qingyuan nodded before getting out of the bathtub and putting on his clothes after drying off.

During the meal, Qingyuan looked sleepy but endured it. Lanying went to clean up and Qingyuan fell asleep on the bed. Lanying smiled looking at the sleeping Qingyuan.

Morning comes pretty quickly. Lanying went to clean himself up when Qingyuan's phone rang. Qingyuan picked up his phone. "Long time no see, my princess." Someone said on the other side of the phone.

"What do you want?" Qingyuan asked flatly. "Don't you want to know, how did your grandfather and his trusted underling die?" Said the man on the other side.

"I know. You want to lure me out. Don't you? You have no other way out." Qingyuan said flatly. "Is that so? I just wanted to tell you so you wouldn't be curious about what actually happened." The man said steady.

"Li Jianyu, you know what? You can never win over me. Do you know why?" Qingyuan asked flatly. "Why are you so sure?" Jianyu scoffed laughing. Qingyuan was speechless and walked out quickly.

Lei Hong stabbed Qingyuan in the stomach with a knife. "You?!" Qingyuan said painfully. "You're right. I killed my father because he kept wanting to be the dog of the Zhang family. I messed up your grandfather's car as well as corporate taxes." Lei Hong said casually.

Lei Hong drew his knife and lifted Qingyuan's body. "You poisoned our drinks." Qingyuan said annoyed. "It's just a muscle relaxant to keep you from moving around a lot." Lei Hong said casually. "Otherwise, I will not win from you and Liu Song." Lei Hong taunted.

"Bastard!" Qingyuan grumbled in annoyance. Thus Qingyuan was taken away by Lei Hong. Qingyuan also fainted on the way. When Qingyuan woke up again, Qingyuan was in an old warehouse and his wound was covered with bandages.

Qingyuan's body position was tied to the chair. Qingyuan saw Jianyu hitting Lei Hong in the face. "Who told you to stab him?" Jianyu said angrily. Lei Hong was silent without a word.

Jianyu found that Qingyuan woke up. "So Xiuying is just the person you need to be the scapegoat. The person you worked with from start to finish is Lei Hong." Qingyuan said flatly.

"Chu Xiuying also helped me so he's my accomplice as well it's just that he messed up my plans too much so I don't need a troublemaker." Jianyu said casually.

"You played such a big game. What do you want?" Qingyuan asked. "From start to finish because of you." Jianyu said casually. "You lie." Qingyuan said flatly.

"Apart from you, I also want to know your family's secret room. I heard that you have ancient treasures there." Jianyu said casually. "Being able to get yourself and ancient treasure too. Isn't that great?" Jianyu said smiling sweetly.

"Our family doesn't have anything you want." Qingyuan said coldly. "You lied. You always enter that room with your grandfather and don't let anyone else in." Lei Hong said he didn't accept it.
