(Kill Petra) Chapter 2: A Possible Cure?

Jesse froze hearing those words come out of her friends mouth but does what Petra requested. She pulls out her gun, backs up, and aims the gun at Petra's head. Jesse lowers her head and closes her eyes.

"Take care of Pendergast for me" Petra says as she lowers her head as well.

Jesse hesitates, then pulls the trigger and shoots Petra. She looks up to see her best friend dead. Petra soon puffed to smoke and there laid her inventory. Jesse was picking up Petra's things when she noticed a small box. She picked it up and opened it, it was a small ring the size of her ring finger.

"Oh my gosh, she..." Jesse started cry some more. She held the box close to her and started to rock herself and pet Pendergast for comfort.

"Why did I listen to her? Why did I choose to shoot her?" She mumbled.

10 minutes went by and Jesse heard a few Strikers.

"Come on Pendergast" she put the small box with the ring in her pocket and headed back to the group.

Back at the group her friends were concerned because Jesse didn't come back with Petra.

"Where's Petra?" Olivia asked.

"She-" Jesse hesitates and looks down. "She got bit and didn't want to turn" She looks up to see her friends with their mouths wide open in shock. "So she asked me-" Jesse starts crying again "she asked me to kill her because she didn't want to hurt me."

"And did you?" Axel asked in an angry tone.

"Yes... yes I did" Jesse replied.

"Good heavens" Stampy trembled.

"Oh no" Stacy mumbled.

"You shouldn't have killed her! She should have lived! She could have made it! She might not have-" Axel yelled walking towards Jesse.

"Axel, cut it out! Jesse probably already feels bad about what she did" Lukas interrupts.

"But-" Axel said.

"I said, Cut it out!" Lukas Interrupts again. "Were here if you ever need us" Lukas reassured Jesse, putting his hand on her shoulder.

"Thanks guys" Jesse sniffled. "Come on lets get out of here before the Strikers follow us."

The gang nodded then started walking to a different place.

"It's really cold" Stampy stuttered shivering in the cold forest. "We should find somewhere warm to stay"

"Over there" Jesse then points to a old cabin that's falling apart. "It's falling apart, but it'll work for now."

They all headed inside, Stampy and Stacy started a fire with the sticks they found at the abandoned city while Jesse and Radar loot the house. They headed up to the second floor, and opened the door on the right of the stairs.

"Crap, Strikers" Jesse whispered. "Stay quiet and we'll be fine."

Radar nodded and they headed in. After looting quietly they noticed a blocked doorway with a hole small enough to crawl through.

Jesse crawled in first, once she was through the roof collapsed.

"Crap, I'll find another way over to you" she whispered loud enough so Radar could hear her, but quiet enough to not disturb the Strikers. Jesse walked off to find another way in.
