"Which of these toys do you like the most? '' Minho questioned the small boy in baby blue hospital gown. He was sitting in the play area of the kids in the hospital not very far from Felix's room, while he was getting his appointment with his psychiatrist in his own hospital room since the doctor suggested he might feel a bit more comfortable in a little more known environment.
Minho volunteered to bring Felix to hospital as his schedule was more open than that of 3racha and it was barely an hour of work, not to mention he was the only one left who knew how to drive without sticking the bonnet of their own car into some random cars on the road. And for the love of god, he would never in his sane mind leave Han or Hyunjin to drive ever. They both have the tendency to get distracted way too easily and be dramatic for the smallest of things around them. Also another of the reasons was Minho likes to visit a boy that was admitted to two rooms next to Felix's room.
Minho remembers when he first met Hiroto, a young boy of eight years old fighting the same battle as Felix, alone with his mother, he was a very cute and bubbly boy that Minho thinks his personality reflects a lot like that of a younger version of Felix. Maybe that's why he felt more of a special bond with Hiroto and wanted to help him and comfort him as much as he could. Minho met Hiroto on his second visit to the hospital when Felix was admitted. Minho felt sympathetic towards the mother as he watched her handling her son all by herself and try to keep herself together while doing so.
Minho being the mother figure of the group, knew how hard it is to see their young one suffer and that too at such a fresh age. To Minho Felix was almost like his own child just like Soonie, Doonie and Dory. he knows how hard it is on the person as well, who endures all these suffering in sidelines while still not being sick themself. He wanted to help them both, the mother and child. It came as a blessing to Minho that the moment he interacted with the boy, they both clicked together. Minho was natural to kids, he finds comfort in them and after years of being around 7 kids, the motherly instinct that he acquired is no less than a real mother herself. Since then whenever minho would get the opportunity to take Felix to the hospital or visit him, he would make sure to drop in the young boy's room and give him small gift or just random food or narrate him a small story and the brief interaction would brighten the boy's pale face and he would giggle with all the mirth in him, try to hug minho the best he can from his bed, tied down with all wires and IV's. Minho would quickly move to Felix after saying his goodbyes on any other days but today he had handful of time on him so he was enjoying his conversation with the boy .
"I love Mr. sky the most! He is amazing !" the boy replied, pulling an airplane soft toy to his chest with a bright and lovely smile that crinkled his eyes in the corner. 'exactly like Felix's ' . Minho thought to himself as he smiled at the boy.
" oh really I thought I was the amazing one as you told me before. Ahhh I'm hurt." Minho dramatically slumps down on the bed.
" Anooo, you are the amazing one Hyungie, but you are not a toy, silly." the boy made such a quirky face that made Minho shake his head in abortion.
" Why is Mr. Sky is special though Hiro-kun" Minho asks.
" because he can touch the skies and go up, up and so high! He flies like birds and sits on the clouds. I wanna go up, up and fly like a bird." The boy exclaimed in wonder.
" Ahh so do you want to be a pilot when you grow up?" Minho smiles at the boy and asks again. He feels a vibration in his pocket indicating a message, he looks at it while still talking to Hiroto.
Felix: hyung I'm done here.
Minho: Okay Bokkie, I'll be there in a minute.
" What's a pirate ? " Hiroto asked in surprise.
