4 Years Earlier
The noise of the Vital Sign Monitor beeps filled the hospital room. Sighing to herself, another failed attempt. Why couldn't she just leave already?
The last few years had been hard for Ka'Sieh. She had no motivation, no courage, no inspiration. She had nobody.
Her mothers quiet sobs could be heard from across the room. She looked over at her, a emotionless blank stare spread across her face.
" Sieh, you have to get help. " Her mother Naveen sighed, wondering why her daughter never called out for help or even talked to her about the problems she was facing.
" I don't need help. " She hoarse voice croaked out, waving her off.
" You can't keep doing this! Why are you so careless? You aren't letting me know anything, Ka'Sieh! What's wrong?! " Her mother slightly raised her voice, becoming frustrated.
Ka'Sieh shrugged, her attention elsewhere.
She honestly didn't know why she was so careless. Neither did she want to talk about it. She felt as if she talked too much about her problems they'd be used against her. Who in the hell would want that?
" This is our 2nd time here. I don't want it to be a 3rd, Sieh. You may not make it out alive that 3rd time. " She lifted from her seat, going over to the side of the hospital bed.
That's the whole point.. - Ka'Sieh shook her head at her thoughts, sighing.
" I want you to get help. Can I get you help? " Her mother cried, softly rubbing against the palm of her hand.
" Sieh, look at me, baby. You have to get help. You need to say something! " She spoke again, the desperation in her voice. Ka'Sieh picked her head up.
" Is it better to speak or to die? " She questioned, leaning her head back.
" Oh my gos- where did i go wrong? " Naveen sobbed, getting up from the chair on side of the bed and making her way out the room.
Although others may think Ka'Sieh was really selfish, she didn't think so at all. She never got that happy feeling whenever she was around her mother. They always had their ups and downs.
Her mother was always working which indicates that Ka'Sieh was always alone. No one ever checked on her, neither did they really give two fucks about her health or well being. So, why the fuck would she care about how they feel?
" It's all i've got. " She mumbled, closing her eyes. "I'm tired, is this enough?" She continued, sighing to herself as she heard the room door click, indicating that someone had walked in.
" I'm Sorry. " She heard which caused her to lift her head up, looking up at her mother shocked.
" I'm sorry for not b-being there, i'm sorry for not encouraging you, i'm sorry f- for the hurt i've caused you, I'm s-sorry for ever-everything, baby. I'm so sorry. " Her mother cried, rushing to her side and wrapping her arms around her tightly.
" I'm so so so sorry. I should've noticed the signs the first time. I was so selfish. I only think about myself in some situations as if i'm not a mother. I should've noticed the signs. I should've. You're all I got, baby. I can't lose you. " She continued, sobbing into her daughters chest.
" Everybody makes mistakes, we live and learn to brave them. " Ka'Sieh shrugged, keeping her sentence short.
" I-I know sorry is the last thing you want to hear, but I apologize. I really do. I lo-love you so much. " She rubbed the back of Sieh's hand, not wanting to let her daughter go.
" I love you. " The word kept repeating into Sieh's head. Her breath hitched as her eyes began to water, her bottom lip in a pout.
That's all she wanted to hear from her mother; She wanted to feel loved, she wanted to hear that she was loved. She finally got what she wanted.
She needed a change. She needed Help.
