1:28pmKa'Sieh sighed for the hundredth time today, she'd been packing orders all day and on top of that she really needed to go to the post office, but her car was still at the restaurant. So she thought.
She'd been up all morning since 8:49am trying to get in contact with several dealerships/mechanics so she could at least get her car fixed or get a new one, who knows? No luck.
Packing the last order, she stacked everything on top of each an other in the corner of her work room. She stood back up, her left hand on her hip as she shifted her weight onto her other leg.
" Alright. " She breathed out, exiting out the room also shutting the door behind her.
As she made her way down the steps something in her head told her to check outside. She rolled her eyes, walking over to the window and squinting her eyes as she opened the blinds.
A shocked expression instantly made its way across
her face. " What the fuck?! " She yelled, not believing her eyes. When did my car get here? She was beyond happy, instantly running towards the front door, unlocking it. She ran towards her car, stopping once she seen a small white paper beside her car keys that sat on the windshield.
Slowly grabbing the paper, she opened in before reading out loud.
Hey, Lil Folks. I got yo shit fixed this morning, you needa get a oil change ASAP.
773-xxx-xx Thank Me.
- VonA big smile was now spread across her face. She was so grateful that a STRANGER did this for her. She was definitely gonna text him. Plus, he was cute.
Instantly grabbing her car keys, she leaned down hugging her car before running back in her house once she felt a rain drop. Damn, it's always raining.
She ran upstairs, instantly going into her room grabbing her phone and reading over the paper, dialing the number. Forget about what she said yesterday. This man needs to be protected at all cost.
Her stomach turned as she clicked on the green button, putting the phone on speaker.
As she was about to press the red button to hang up, moving was instantly heard from the other line. She froze.
" Hi. " She softly spoke, instantly pulling the phone away from her ear once she heard shuffling in the background.
" Wats good, lil folks nem. " Von tiredly spoke over the phone. " Did I wake you up? I could call you another time. " She mentally cursed herself out, not meaning to wake him up.
" Nah, you straight. Ian think you was gon call, mama. " He reassured her causing her to blush, putting the phone on speaker. His soft voice made her insides tingle.
" Okay. " She slightly laughed. " Thank you for helping me with my car. You didn't have to do that. " She thanked him.
He didn't even know her and he still helped her, although she didn't need it, it was the thought that counted.
" Aye, if i'm bein' honest. I really don't give ah' damn about the ca' just wanted you to call me. " He rasped, laughing a little.
Ka'Sieh crossed her legs, shaking her head. " I should've known. Thank you still. " She softly smiled once he hummed.
" Lemme take you out. " He asked after a second of complete silence. " I kno this ah' weird ass way to ask that but lemme take you out, shorty. " Ka'Sieh was taken back, A Date? She's never been on a date!
" Um, is this like a date? What should I wear? When are you gonna pick me up, how- " She rambled before she was cut off. " chill, chill. Just wear some you ah' be comfortable wit'. "
" Okay, another thinggg.. " She dragged, twisting her lip to the side. " Go ahead. "
" Where do i go for an oil change? " She hesitated to ask, earning a laugh from him.
" Shorty, you wan me to take you before our lil date? " He softly spoke through the phone after quieting his laughter down.
" Yes, please. " She smiled as if he could see her.
