4 Years Later

April 20th, 2023

Ka'Sieh groaned, her left leg crossed over her right as she zoned out on her chatty therapist. Also known as Semira. She desperately tried to pay attention to what she was lecturing her about but she just couldn't. Not today.

" Ms. Young! " Her therapist Semira slight yelled, tapping on the table with her pen.

She averted her eyes towards the much older women in front of her, rising her eyebrows Ka'Sieh spoke " I'm sorry, could you say that again? "

" This is the 4th time you've zoned out today. What's going on? " Semira sighed, completely ignoring her question.

" I don't know. I'm just not feeling today, I guess. " Ka'Sieh shrugged, her palm resting on her cheek as she gave Semira her undivided attention.

" Why aren't you feeling today? The session could go quicker if you'd just let me know what's been going on lately. Are you okay? Have you been writing? " The worried therapists questioned, her tone soft.

" Yes, I actually have. Would you like to read it? " She smiled, reaching into her cream white Marc Jacobs Tote Bag.

" If you don't mind. " Semira nodded, her left hand reaching across the table to grab the small purple diary from the young girl.

" Love Yourself For Who You Are "

You were born to be who you are
Embrace It

You are a beautiful human
Your unique beauty is yours alone

You have many gifts and talents to share
Share them in your own special way

Your story is yours alone
Use it to help others with theirs

Surround yourself with people who truly
see your best self

Shine your bright light on the world
for all to see

You are a miracle

Love Yourself For Who You Are!

Semira smiled to herself, nodding her head before closing the diary and sliding it across the table with a big smile on her face.

Glad was definitely an underestimate. Ka'Sieh was improving step by step & Semira could most definitely see that.

Sieh wasn't the same ole' depressed and unappreciated girl she was 4 years ago. She's happier with herself and everyone around her could see that.

" Did you like it? " Sieh cheesed before slightly frowning. " It isn't much, I could- No, of course not! I love it. " Semira cut her off, clasping her hands together.

The same smiled spread across Ka'Sieh face. She was most definitely proud of herself.

" Thank You! I was afraid that it wasn't much. I've been focusing on myself, also. I haven't been working myself too hard! You know i'm a workaholic. I love being my own boss. My customers be so fly, make me wanna cry. " She slightly laughed, happy that Semira liked her small poem, also wiping a fake tear.
