4. Teams and Guides

Weiss narrowed her eyes as Ozpin stood before them. "You are all here because you excel in one way or the next," he said. "Whether it be singing," he glanced at Weiss, Ruby, Yang, and a few others, "Fighting or just plain maths. You are welcome if you have the skill."

"And if you don't?" Inquired Jaune nervously.

"Then you are expelled. And you will not be returning next year," said Ozpin coldly.

"Please excuse me," Jaune muttered, looking sick and very nervous. He quickly sprinted out the courtyard. 

"Here is an example from team CFVY, our second year band," Ozpin added. "They will be performing a song written by their leader, Coco Adel. Of course, even if you do not major in music, you can join a band. Remember, all you need is the skill to start. As long as you finish and start strong, I care little what you do in between." He nodded to Coco, and the team began their song.

Listen up, strap in, notify your next of kin

A certified monster, and absolute trip...

Weiss tuned it out. She wasn't a huge fan of team CFVY's performances. Their major songs were Caffeine (The song above), Shine, Die, Time to Say Goodbye, and When it Falls- mostly rock. She sighed, and noticed Ruby was humming along to a song in her headphones. She leaned over Ruby's shoulder quietly. Ruby was listening to one of her songs! Mirror, Mirror was a popular one, but Ruby was listening to Part II. Her preferred of them. She remembered the lyrics clear as day. All of a sudden, Ruby looked up sharply and noticed Weiss leaning over her shoulder.

"Hey!" Ruby snapped. Weiss came up with a quick excuse.

"Who said you could listen to my music, you dolt?"

Ruby blinked rapidly. "You wrote this?" She asked. Weiss nodded, and Ruby laughed. "Maybe you aren't so bad after all."

Weiss snorted and staked off. You have to hate her, Weiss. She's a Rose. 

"Now we will form your teams. The first team will be consistent of Oscar Pine, Whitley Schnee-" Weiss scoffed at her brother's name, as he was a Junior Student-"Trivia Vanille, and Ilia Amitola.

"You will be team OWNI, pronounced Oni, lead by Oscar Pine. Your Second Year Guide Team will be team CEAM. Team OWNI, meet Cinder Fall, Emerald Shustrai, Adam Taurus, and Mercury Black.

"Next, Cardin Winchester, Russel Thrush, Dove Bronzewing, and Sky Lark will form team CRDL, pronounced Cardinal. Lead by Cardin Winchester. Your Second Year Guide Team will be team CFVY. Team CRDL, meet Coco Adel, Fox Alistair, Velvet Scarlatina, and Yatsuhashi Daichi." Cardin smirked as he greeted one of the most famous teams on campus.

"Jaune Ark, Nora Valkyrie, Pyrrha Nikos, and Lie Ren will become team JNPR, pronounced Juniper, lead by Jaune Ark. Your Second Year Guide team will be team ZHRA. Team JNPR, meet Zachary Plasma, Hailey Crimson, Ryker Cyan, and Alexis Zaire.

"Sun Wukong, Scarlet David, Sage Ayana, and Neptune Vasilias-" Weiss was surprised to hear Neptune and his boyfriend's name-"Will be team SSSN, pronounced Sun, lead by Sun Wukong. Your Second-Year Guide team will be NDGO. SSSN, meet Nebula Violette, Dew Gayl, Gwen Darcy, and Octavia Ember.

"Arslan Atlan, Bolin Hori, Reese Chloris, and Nadir Shiko will be team ABRN, pronounced Auburn, led by Arslan Atlan. Your Second-Year Guide team will be team BRNZ. ABRN, meet Brawnz Ni, Roy Stallion, Nolan Porfirio, and May Zedong."

Weiss blinked. There was only four students left... and one second-year team. Wait, Ruby hadn't-"Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao-Long will be team RWBY, pronounced Ruby, lead by Ruby Rose. Your Second-Year Guide team will be team SLVR. RWBY, meet Simin Megistus, Lycan Arcadia, Vella Moisia, and Ragora Cinarum."
