(Buckle up hun. You're in for a trip.)
You left the still-confused Wade sitting in the grass near the ship as you went looking for Pixie Hollow, trying to retrace your steps from the last time you went with Johny. You got turned around a few times, but finally, you found it. You were sure to keep as quiet as possible, not wanting to scare the fairies, or worse, make them angry. At this point though, you still weren't sure how you were going to obtain this pixie dust. You gripped the handmade pouch and stared at the fairy colony, anxiety building as you considered your options.
That train of thought was broken though when you suddenly heard rustling nearby. Your heart raced knowing that whatever was moving around could be a predator, or it could scare the fairies. Either way, it was a bad thing. You froze, staring at the foliage as it moved. Whatever it was, it was getting closer to you.
"Y/N?..."
You blinked several times, wondering if you heard correctly. "...Slightly?" A little head popped out from the bushes, big eyes behind a mess of blond hair wrapped in fox pajamas.
"Y/N!" The lost boy excitedly jumped out from the greenery and ran over to you, throwing his arms around your neck and hugging tightly.
You didn't know what to say, but even if you did, you were too shocked to form any words. All you could manage to do was let your arms wrap around the boy, holding him close. It wasn't until he pulled away to look at you gleefully that you realized your cheeks were completely soaked with tears.
"Y/N! We were all so worried! What happened? Where have you been?" He asked plenty of great questions, but an answer didn't come to mind right away. What happened? You wracked your brain for a moment. You had done a pretty good job suppressing any thoughts about that night that you left. More tears streamed down your face as you stared blankly, your brain finally acknowledging once again what had happened between you and the ginger. The sight clearly upset the little fox boy.
"Y/N?..." He frowned, wiping tears from your face that was quickly replaced by fresh ones. You weren't even sobbing, and yet tears continued to stream down. Your grip on the boy tightened as your hands began to shake.
"Are... are you all okay? What happened with the other lost boys?" Ignoring the original questions, you asked about the others. If Slightly was ok, then surely the others were as well.
"Oh, they're all still back at the house! I was out here looking for help actually. I was coming to see if Tink was ok."
Help... A terrible feeling was building up in your stomach. A pang of guilt that only grew. You had left these boys to fend for themselves. Not only that, but you also left them with a dead body. One that was undoubtedly decomposing by now. You left them alone, and confused, and scared, and yet here you were, one of the very boys you left hugging you with no judgment at all.
"You need Tink?" You glanced at the colony of fairies. "I actually need some help from her too... Do you think that she would listen to us? It's very important." You felt bad asking one of the boys for anything after the way you left them, but it really was important. "And, you should bring the rest of the boys here. You shouldn't stay in that place anymore."
Slightly's eyes lit up. "Are you still going to be our mom?!" You laughed a bit. "You don't have to call me something like that, but I do want to be here for you all."
"Yay! Y/N Is our mom again!" Another tight hug from the little boy made you laugh. "Sure~"
"Okay Okay, I'll see if Tink is here and if she'll listen to me." Slightly hopped down and carefully approached the fairies. You stood aside, not wanting to interfere and mess something up. You couldn't quite hear what he was saying, but it seemed like things were going fine from what you could tell. It wasn't long before Slightly was walking over to you, something in his little hands.
