Gayoung wakes up, feeling disoriented. Why was she here? On Dohwan's bed? Didn't she fall asleep on the couch? And where's Dohwan? She walks out of his room and finds him sipping his coffee in the kitchen.
"Good morning...", she smiles, takes her phone from the table, and walks to him.
"Morning...", Dohwan forces a smile. "Want some?", he offers.
"Sure...", she nods.
Dohwan takes another cup. He pours that black liquid into a mug while watching Gayoung check her phone. And he can't read her expression but he can see her typing something. Maybe replying to that stupid message. Maybe she'll agree to grab- "AAgh!!", his train of thought cut off because he stupidly spilled the coffee on his hand.
"Oh my God...", Gayoung hurriedly searches for an ice pack in the fridge while Dohwan rinses his hand with cold water. "Are you still drunk?", she takes Dohwan's hand and dries it with a washcloth. It was an ugly red. "It must be hurt...", she mumbles to herself while focusing on Dohwan's arm. Slowly putting an icepack. "Oh God, why are you so stupid...", she blows his hand which already has an ice pack on it.
Dohwan chuckles watching Gayoung's antic.
Gayoung glares at Dohwan. "Dont you realize you got a first-degree burn??!"
Dohwan bites his lips, trying not to laugh. Gayoung looks even cuter getting frustrated like that. He totally forgets about the pain in his hand. "I am sorry...you're just...adorable..."
"Adorable...like a girl...or a little sister?", Gayoung doesn't know what's gotten into her. That question just came out of nowhere.
Dohwan stares at her. Wondering what did she expect by asking that question. "More like a woman...", he replies seriously. Decides not to avoid her today.
Gayoung gulps. She can feel his eyes bore into her soul. Yet she can't look away. "I...". Gayoung's phone is ringing. At the worst time.
Wi Hajun is calling...
Dohwan saw the name on her phone screen. He takes the ice pack from Gayoung's hand. "It's okay...pick it up...", he walks to the living room. Giving Gayoung some space. And because he really doesn't want to hear another man flirting with her.
Gayoung joins him five minutes later. Put his coffee in front of him. "You left your coffee..."
"Thank you..."
"How's your hand?"
"It's better...", he smiles. "Doesn't hurt anymore..."
Gayoung glances at his hand. That ugly red beg to differ.
"You dont have to babysit me you know...", Dohwan suddenly said.
"Pardon??"
"I know you're here because of Saeron's accident...you probably worried that I'll do something stupid...Dont worry I won't..."
Gayoung becomes really quiet. Staring at her coffee.
"I accidentally saw his message when you were asleep...you can go...dont make my problem ruin your fun...I dont need you here..."
Gayoung puts her mug down. "Thank you for letting me know that you dont need me. I won't bother you again.", she gets up and takes her purse. "But just to be clear, I am here not to babysit you. I am here because I fuckin care about you. And I start to think that it was a mistake.", she storms out of his apartment. Not even bother to close the door.
Dohwan realizes he screwed up. He has never seen Gayoung that angry. Hell, she never yelled at him like that before.
"What did you do??!"
