Dear Victor,

I do not know what my name is, but i do know that i am the horrid creature that you created. I am writing this letter to ask you, what is my purpose? I was left alone to learn about this world that you brought me into, I had to fend for myself and protect myself from the humans. All I wanted was a simple companion so I would not be alone in this world, but whenever I would try to approach someone they would either run or attack me.

The first human that I encountered was inside of a house, when I entered the house the shepherd just ran away leaving me alone in his house. At first I did not understand what was happening ,but as this situation become repetitive I began to realize that my huge stature and my ugly appearance is what was causing them to run away. If they did not run away they would throw things at me till I left there town.

As I became aware of this, I hid in a hovel so I would be out of sight from the humans. This way they could no longer hurt or shun me. I lived in the hovel through the winter and into the spring. While I was living there I observed a family and began taking food from them but I slowly realized they were poor so I stopped taking from them and began helping them. I started to gather food for them and collect firewood, leaving it on their doorstep. Most of the knowledge that I gained about this world I learned from watching this family.

I started to grow fond of this family, I wanted to introduce myself and meet them but I knew it wouldn't end well. When only the blind man was home I went and introduced myself to him, he was kind and caring. This blind man was the only human that ever showed me any type of kindness, and i'm sure it was only because he could not see what I really am, a monster. When the blind man's family returned the women screamed when they seen me and the blind man's son began hitting me with a stick. I could have hurt them but I couldn't even picture the thought of hurting the family that I had learned so much from whether they knew it or not. After this happened the poor family took off leaving everything they owned behind.

The torture of my existence did not end there, no matter what I did it wouldn't be good enough for the humans. My huge stature and ugliness caused them to give me one look before they judged me, they did not give me a second glance before they ran or attack me.

As I was in the forest I heard someone coming, I hid behind a tree and seen a little girl running she fell into a river with a strong current. Before thinking I ran and pulled the child out of the river, the man that was with her picked her up and took her away without given me a second look let alone a thank you. I slowly followed behind them to see if the little girl was okay, the man spotted me and pointed an object at me and i was hit in the shoulder. I slouched down to the ground in excruciating pain, an object was lodged in my shoulder, I had been shot. I was confused I saved this little girl from death and this man repaid me by shooting me leaving me alone in pain possible to suffer the same fate.
