While Donald was cooking up theories and plans, Ray was already making fun of the situation.

"At least he's not sexist." she nonchalantly said, eagerly waiting to be asked for clarification.

"Well, he basically said he'd beat me up regardless of my gender. Lovely, right?"
she paused for a few seconds.

"No, I didn't, stop worrying so much. I'll stop calling if all you do is scold me over things i didn't even do" she looked to her side as if avoiding eye contact, guilty, knowing how close she'd actually been to breaking her agreement.

"Don't worry about it, just don't ask me that every time."
Lying was her best asset.

"Have we heard anything from miss Rika yet?"

"No. She didn't change her mind on collaborating with us."

"Well then, what squads to we have free? I have a job for a few of them."

"There are about two to three groups of about 4 guys each. What's the job?"

"I need them to keep a very very close eye on someone."

Kingsley waited a bit, but Donald didn't clarify. He normally wouldn't have him ask the details about certain operations, so he guessed this wasn't something that directly benefitted the Union. It was most likely something he did for his own, personal pleasure.

"...Are you going to harass that girl?"

"You sound disappointed. Don't worry, i'm not doing it for personal reasons. I just need to clarify some suspicions i have. She is a great candidate for us, actually. Just today, she came here for the BGA project. You know what that means to the Union, right?"

Kingsley was surprised at how well Donald read his thoughts, and decided not to question his judgement.

"I'll call them as soon as we're done. I did look into her more, as you asked. She is doing well for herself academically and seems to get along well with everyone even though she's been here shortly. Teachers seem to like her, too.
I couldn't find the exact moment she became associated with miss Rika, but they interacted quite a bit already, so she must be pretty well off.
We don't know a lot about her fighting skills, but i'm assuming you've already issued the order.
She lives by herself in her father's house, though his whereabouts are unknown. He is the one supporting her financially, too. He used to be a company owner, though the company's rights are now signed off to a man, William Lagusta. Her mother is absent, never really been a part of her life."

"Siblings?"

"She's an only child"

"Is she in contact with that William?"

"It wouldn't appear so."

"What does the company do?"

"I think it's related to a research institute of some sort?"

"That would check out her membership. Though apart from that, she's not giving us much to work with."
Donald seemed to think for a bit, muttering to himself.
"Absent mom, dad could be overseas? ... Anything else?"

"Her schedule is in the files. Other than that, she appears to be an ordinary student."

"Except, not really. She flat out refused my offer."

"She'll probably come back to you, like everyone else did." Kingsley assured.

"She also didn't double down when i challenged her to a fight. What do you make of that?"

Kingsley fell silent for a moment.

"Could she have been bluffing? I don't suppose she thought she could win."

"To be fair, I don't know. But you're right. She will come back to us. She just needs a little ...stimulation" he grinned.

Kingsley understood what he meant and went to make the phone calls.
