The Revolution Started-
Why should I care
It's in the past
I won't need it.
You can think
think what you want
but I won't care about Vermont
and not it's history.
It may be in my country
But I don't care
sure it might be where
where I was born
But all I hear about is corn
corn corn corn
So I am torn
torn from good grades
torn from my life
torn from breaking
breaking my future with a knife
I don't care
Don't care about history
It's still a mystery
a mystery I don't want to solve.
I wasn't involved
and it was resolved.
So why should I care
Care about the past?
My future is coming fast
and I won't need the past
the past of which
I wasn't involved.
An Equine vet I shall be
so can't I just be me?
I get it, we became free
free with a war
but that was before
The present is here
and we should learn
learn about how to fix
what we have broke
We broke our earth
we broke our trust
we broke everything that we discussed
So can we please
please think about the trees
the sees
and the disease.
Our lives changed,
I get it
But I don't need it
I don't need the revolution
but we do need a solution
A solution to stop this pollution
The pollution our history caused
we say it's good,
our history
But have you thought,
Thought of what it brought
Brought to our world?
our lives have uncurled
in a way it shouldn't have,
we don't need war
we need peace
we don't need to learn
Learn about the revolution
we need to make a solution
History is worthless
worthless I say,
We need to think about today
think about a way
a way to continue our days
our lives have changed
I get it,
But I don't regret
regret what I have said
As history is worthless
worthless I say...
I just want a way
a way to save..
to save the day...
