I walked into the hospital slowly sniffling holding my baby sister hand.

My momma got us down here soo quick. We walked past the waiting room & seen my big brother.

& king , von and some girl.

My brother got up & hugged all of us. I looked at the floor as I heard my big sister crying so hard.

𝙄 𝙜𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜.

I thought to myself as he released me & him and my momma hugged my big sister tight.

Von came up and hugged me too, " You okay twin? " he spoke in my ear & I just nodded.

After we stopped hugging the girl spoke softly. " I'm sorry for what happened to your dad, I'll keep him in my prayers my love. " she seemed so sincere my eyes got glossy.

" thank you " i wiped my eyes quickly then king tried to say something to me but no i don't wanna talk rn.

i turned my back to him.

we finally went to his room & he had all types of tubes tied to him, " daddy.. " my little sister crawled into his bed crying.

" we here , we love you so much. " my momma held his hand, i was frozen.

on the verge of hyperventilating, i need him?? he can't just leave me. i felt tears rolling down my face & i walked out the room.

i covered my face as i started bawling my eyes out.

next thing i knew somebody wrapped their arms around me tightly.

" its gon be okay jaidah, i gotchu " king rubbed my back. " i'm not gon be okay? what ima do without my daddy " my words came out shaky.

" jaidah he strong, he gon push thru for y'all " , he right. " you gon be str8 " he released me & wiped my tears.

I nodded looking at the floor.. am I really gon be straight ?? I hope so. King took my hand & we went back to the waiting room.

Why boogie here , I mentally twitched my eye taking in a deep breathe.

" you str8 shawty? damn yo eyes red- " He walked up to me & king and I let go of his hand putting them in my pockets.

" forever str8 & don't call me that fuck be wrong with folks.. " i cut him off & sucked my teeth looking off to the side.

" jaidah fuck be wrong with you i ain't did shit to you yet but see if you alright but it's coo " he chuckled walkin out the hospital.

" man jaidah .. " king looked over at me making me side eye him and go sit by von friend.

" hey .. honestly i hope he's okay. " she turned her attention to me, " thank you i appreciate you, what's your name? " i picked at my fingers trying to keep it together.

" my name is nakariana but you can call me nana !! " she smiled at me, damn von actually can pull cute girls.

" i love your name , my name is jaidah " i returned a smile , " thank youu and i know already von has told me a lot about you "

" good things " von peeped over making me laugh. " so he's your boyfriend right? " i questioned & she nodded immediately.

" is boogie yours? " she scratched her head, " hell nawl " i made her laugh instantly.

" it's just the way he talks about you it's like you two were - never mind sorry " , " oh no continue it's okay " i raised my eyebrow.

" it seems like he really cares about you, he was like he regrets about how he acted when he was younger towards you & like he'd do anything for you " she looked straight ahead just rambling.

" well yeah , he use to act like a predator sometimes .. real crazy " i replied making von fall out the chair crying laughing.

no way he actin like this a mfkin fool ...

" get the fu- get up von forreal. " she almost laughed pulling him up by his arm.

" hmm von ever tell you about his ex girl ..? " i wondered so i asked.

" oh she wanna fight me , she been wanting to get there with me for almost 5 months now for what reason?? i've never seen her in real life nor spoke on her.. well one time because she got mad von said im the best girl he has ever been with. " she sighed sucking her teeth.

" just childish, von wouldn't let you fight that animal anyways . " i shook my head chuckling.

I sat in the hospital chair humming my dads favorite song waiting for my momma dem to bring back the pizza.

I ran out of breathe on his favorite part & I heard faint mumbles of the lyrics and I instantly looked up.

I slowly walked over to his bed, and his eyes were still closed.

maybe a young nigga just goin crazy lol.

" dad? " I looked at his face , he needs a retwist. " jaidah what's going on " he spoke in a mumble & i barely heard him but i seen his mouth move.

i put my head close to his mouth & i asked what he said again. " what happened to me " i heard him clearly.

" you got shot 5 times da.. " my eyes watered , " everybody straight.. right?.. where yo momma " he paused between his words.

" yes we okay but we need you, momma getting food and everyone else went with her .. leek he went somewhere and hasn't came back since. " i told him everything.

" i love y'all , tell leek i said don't do shit stupid. " he felt exhausted speaking took so much energy from him.

i kissed his cheek and immediately texted the family groupchat what happened.
