I had been holding on to Rosie, as we walked through the mall, it made me a bit nervous walking around. I was a little afraid I would run into Paisley again, and I kind of felt bad for just disappearing. I didn't even remember to text to them, but then again, she didn't text me.
I followed Rosie absent-mindedly, and it was too late when we ended up back at the boutique.
The mannequins were now in new seasonal fashion, but still kept the bold look the store was trying to offer at the highest of ends. It's what drew me in, the pinks, the yellows, the greens, beautifully loud colors.
Just as I looked over, I heard a squeal and Paisley made her happy way over to me with her arms open. Her excitement brought the same emotion out of me easily; I was feeling especially small after Rosie used me so intensely last night. I didn't eat dinner, I just had a bottle and watched True and The Rainbow Kingdom for most of the evening. Monty liked that, especially when she got back from her work, and I was down for cuddles.
"Hey, I lost my phone at the club, so I couldn't text you like no one had your number. I asked the bouncer what happened to you, he said you left with—," she cut herself off as her eyes drifted up to Rosie, who was less than pleased. Paisley's hands dropped away from me as her smile got tight, and her cheeks started to go red.
She bowed quickly, "Sorry, I'm Paisley and you must be Mrs. Telmont."
Her eyes shifted over to me with a nervous glint, and I smiled up at Rosie too, before I excused us, pulling her back towards the register closest to the door.
"Oh my god, your mom is hot!" She sighed, before she melted onto the counter. I chuckled, Rosie looked incredible today, and I just looked incredibly childish. She put me in a dress, I mean it was Burberry, but still from the kids section.
"I mean, I mean, I knew that from the Internet, but she's so much hotter in person like, Christ on a stick!" She huffed as she pulled out her phone, sliding it over to me. I took it quickly, adding my contact to the new iPhone.
She leaned closer to me as I gave her the phone back, "so what happened to that guy you were dancing with, a couple of people said he got beat up for taking something, no one knows anything, though it's like everyone's phones disappeared!"
Her voice was a whisper like no one was supposed to hear her, but I just shrugged. I don't remember much from the club if I'm honest. I don't even remember what the guy looked like or if he even told me his name.
I shook my head again, my hand flew to my ring around my neck, Monty found it on him, I dropped it at the club. He's so unlucky to have picked it up, especially if Monty was the one to take it from him, I hope she didn't hurt him.
"Then I heard you went home with The Barron, is that true?"
I was confused for a second before I looked up at Rosie who was looking through the Dior section, no doubt it's for Monty, as she pulled out a white dress shirt and held it up.
"The Barron, you mean Charli?" I squinted, turning back to her as she nodded.
She seemed shocked as her eyes widened, "you know her like that? Does your mom know? I mean, I heard the Telmont's bought her out, but TMZ just released this."
She tapped on her phone and pushed it at me. I looked down at a few blurry pictures of me in the outfit from the other day, the one I picked for the club. I could easily make out Syd and Charli, she was holding my hand, guiding me into the car.
