Parker
1 Year After The Wedding
The year was going pretty okay, school was hard enough, but Trixie was woopin' ass at finals, much better than me, which is totally unfair. She has a personal nerd, what do I have, a calculator and Red Bull. I dropped my head into my book and groaned.
"Baby, don't you think it's time for a break, it's been two hours," Jensen spoke walking into the dining room from behind me. I felt something hit the table and I looked up at a plate of snacks. She smiled down at me as I snagged a cookie before dropping my head back into the fold of the Laws of Business textbook.
Her finales were finished and Monty said that she could come to the Castle, on the condition that I actually study, which is a failing endeavor all in itself. If I had tears to cry, they would be soaking these pages.
"I'll rephrase that, Parker take a break, you need breaks when you study," she sat down beside as I lifted my head. She's laid her head on her hands that she placed on the table. She looked up at me with the prettiest brown eyes, and it made me feel instantly motivated to actually study, so I can have my time with her.
"Fine, but only thirty," I gave taking a bite of the salty sweet cookies. I looked up with a bit of confusion. These are the cookies Yoslyn makes, she gives them to me whenever we study together.
I looked around, the castle had been fairly quiet on my end with the staff assisting Rosie in planning the annual yacht party, Telmont was at the casino doing renovations, and Trixie was with her nerd boy at the café. I didn't know if Yoslyn was here, but I guess she is.
"Where did you get these?"
"The maid, she was bringing them, so I took it instead," she shrugged sitting up a bit. I frowned, like I said most of the staff are out today. She might have run into Yosyln, she was here this whole time.
"Long dark hair, dark eyes, yey high?" I hold my hand up to the height of Yoslyn.
Jen nodded as her eyebrows fell in a slight frown, like she was confused, but I nodded, that was definitely Yoslyn, since she's here, I think she can help me study at least the data clause unite. That's the worst.
"You sure know your stuff."
I chuckled, "That's just Yoslyn."
"I know who she is, Trix has been complaining about her since I set foot in the driveway," she hummed stilling looking at me with soft eyes. It made me chuckle. Trixie is so annoying when it comes to Yoslyn. She's suspicious of her and I get it but at the same time I don't. It's not as serious as he makes it.
I shake my head, "You know how Trixie is."
She hummed a bit, "Yeah, but I also know how you are. You're just like your Mother, a Telmont through and through."
I dropped my pen with a frown, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"You're a complete Casanova, can't say no to a pretty face, just like Telmont." She sat up holding her smile as she met eyes with me, "You've got pretty girls following you around, making you cookies, cheering for you at your matches, wearing your polo number."
I shook my head going into my surrender posture to make her see, "Yoslyn is my friend."
"Oh, I know she's your friend, but what are you to her? You must know how this looks right? What if my brother casually mentions oh, I don't know Buck."
She shrugged and tilted her head so softly, her long, bouncy curls caught the light just right as they glowed golden, "He brings me a cupcake to the library where we study three times a week alone, I go to his football games and cheer for him, and I wear his hoodie. Sometimes he even walks me home because we're going the same way anyway."
