RIDDHIMA'S POV...

It was a dark stormy night. The whole of Greentown village was covered by dark clouds. I was returning home and suddenly it started raining cats and dogs. I was not having an umbrella with me to protect myself from getting wet.

A bolt of thunder crept into my ears making me shiver. I clutched my dress tightly as I was scared as hell. My chest rose and fell into rapid succession.

I was always afraid of storms. Lightning's electric current only existed within the night, and within the night existed the dark, and I was always afraid of the dark. Anything could be lurking.

It was raining so heavily that it was impossible for me to even see the roads clearly. I was standing alone in the middle of the road. I did not have any idea where to go.

After walking for few more minutes, I saw a bench in an abundant amusement park. It was still raining but not so heavily. I decided to sit at that bench until the rain stops fully.

It was midnight and there were cold winds which made me shiver as cold as a puppy covered in snow.

I closed my eyes and morning incident started coming infront of my eyes. Soon I felt my cheeks getting wet. Yes I was crying thinking about my life. In the morning when my parents told me that they had fixed my marriage and I am going to marry him in the next few days, I was beyond shocked.

How can they decide my future like this ? I know we have to get married some or the other day but now it's too early for me. I am just 19...I have not yet completed my graduation. I want to study further but in villages people don't allow their daughter for higher studies.

I have not even seen that man's face with whom my marriage is fixed. They say girls can't see their husbands' faces before Marriage.
They never allow their daughters to talk with any stranger but they will definitely marry their daughter with Stanger.

My eyelids were becoming heavy. I rested my head at the back of the bench and soon I was in my deep slumber.

After a few hours,

I was woken up by an ear-piercing screech. The rain had stopped and the weather was clear. I looked at my surroundings to find the source of sound but what I saw made me feel like land slipped beneath my legs.

I tried to hide but it was too late.I saw a shadow like figure that began to rise from the bushes and he was approaching towards me.

" Aaah.."

I shrieked. I took in the appearance of the apparition as it came forth. Its body was a pure lump of darkness. It's face was cold and his eyes were red. Large black tunnels caved in on its blank expression, forming two abysses that appeared to be eyes. Its nose was a mere shadow. His mouth...oh god..
Only two big sharp pointed teeth were visible at the corner of his lips.

I felt tears streaming down from my cheeks as I quickly back-stepped, the creature following me with hushed footsteps.

He stood infront of me and I realised it was a blood-soaked vampire in his phosphorus cloak. It was a horrendous creature who looked as evil as Mufasa's brother Scar... He had a crooked face and blood-thirsty lips.

I was shaking like a leaf in fear. I wanted to run but my legs were not moving.
I read about the vampires in books but I never imagined in my life that they would be real.

" Wh..who are you? " I asked and tried to act brave infront of him.

Blood was dripping from his mouth which made me feel like vomiting.
