About 30 minutes till she arrived at Brooklyn's house Alvina grew tired of the endless loop of the same songs being played on the radio, so she pulls over to the side of the road and pops open the trunk. She got out running to the trunk and opened up her suitcase that was laying inside, searching for her cd's. "CRAP" she shouted realizing she had left all of her favorite albums at the apartment, it wasn't a big deal but she really didn't want want to go all the way back to get them, it wasn't worth it. Alvina rolls her eyes and gets back into the car and continues driving. Thinking back on her fight with Garret, she didn't feel it was necessary to call out the girl she saw in his car, he didn't deserve that satisfaction knowing he hurt her even more than he already did, but he also didn't deserve the satisfaction of getting away with it but she couldn't care less at this point, he'd already spent the last year fogging up her brain. Why let him take this relaxation away from her?

Alvina finally arrived in Brooklyn, as she drove into the city she looked around at the beautiful scenery and finally felt she was at peace for the first time since last year.  "Out of sight, out of mind" she silently said, promising to herself that she wouldn't think about anything that didn't align with what she needed at that moment in time. While passing a beautiful water fountain she decides to stop and take a moment for herself to explore the city. She successfully parallel parks on the side of the rode, and gets out of her car, taking a deep breath appreciating new air in her lungs before heading toward the fountain. Her stomach fills with butterflies as city buzzes around her and she runs across the street. She giggles to herself, something just felt right here. Alvina hadn't been out of Central for a long time, moving there when she was 18 from Crown Point, Indiana. She sat down in front of the fountain for a few minutes feeling the breeze through her hair, grazing her skin making her feel even more alive than she already did. Suddenly she heard a voice call from afar " TICKETS, TICKETS" she ignored it at first like everyone does, there was always someone selling something in the streets of New York. Once again the voice called out "TICKETS FOR SALE, GET MICHAEL JACKSON CONCERT TICKETS HERE NOW" Alvina was skeptical thinking it was just a scammer trying to get some money, but the voice called out once again saying the same thing. Her brain convinced her she needed to just go and check, the worst that could happen is she lost a few bucks, so she got up and ran over in the direction the voice was coming from. Finally the voice called out again and she spotted the woman who was yelling.

"Hi! You're selling tickets for Michael Jackson?" Alvina said to the woman looking around behind her looking for anyone else that may have been trying to purchase them. "Yeah, I've got 2 for $100" the woman stared at her and replied. "Each?!? or together?..." Alvina replied back and stuck her hand in her purse feeling around for her wallet.  "Together, I'm not looking to try and drain money out of anyone like most of these people passing probably think I'm doing right now. I bought them for my sister and I, but she ended up canceling on me and I need the money" The woman explained back to her. Alvina pulled her wallet out of her bag and popped it open, pulling out a $100 dollar bill. "Can I see them first just incase?" she questioned. "Yeah of course" The women then pulled out 2 Michael Jackson tickets from her back pocket, they looked legit. "Oh my goodness..." Alvina took a second to process the fact that she was about to get Michael Jackson tickets, The man who had unknowingly helped her though probably the hardest thing she's had to go though. The woman smiled at her. "There all yours if you want them".  "Yes of course, thank you so much" Alvina replied snapping herself back into reality, the woman and her exchanging the money for the tickets. "And thank you! Please enjoy the show sweetie!" The woman said turning and walking from her. Alvina squealed and jumped up and down a few times, expressing her joy to the world around her before placing the tickets in her purse. There was a pay phone across the street so she decided to call and check in with Sophie. *Ringgggg, Ringgggg* She heard the other line pick up the phone, "Sophie!" she exclaimed. "Alvina! What's up girl?" Sophie replied to her in her usual peppy tone. "I'm in Brooklyn and I'm about to head over there. I've got a HUGEEE surprise for youu!" Alvina avidly said across the line. Sophie then replied "Great! Come on over whenever your ready. I'm excited to see what you've got up your sleeve". "You will not believe ittt! I'm on my way now, I'll see you when i get there. Byeee!" Alvina hurried and hung up so she head to Sophies apartment.

Sophie was one of Alvina's closest friend, she helped her through her miscarriage and many other little things that went on in Alvina's life. They were an outlet to for each other to express their emotions, that was until Sophie moved to Brooklyn last year. She hadn't seen or really talked to her since, they occasionally talked to each other on the phone but it had been months since they actually had time to visit and catch up until now. She was BEYOND excited, words couldn't even begin to explain this feeling. This was the exact thing she had been needing for so long. She couldn't wait to arrive at Sophies house to tell her about the tickets.

She looked around at the building Sophie had described to her last year when she moved. This was definitely it. She walked up to it looking at the panel of buttons beside the front door, buzzing penthouse number 231 that Sophie had told her about a few months prior. The speaker came on announcing that Sophie responded back allowing her access to the building. Alvina ignored the front desk and walked right to the elevator, pressing the arrow facing upwards and waiting for the doors to open. She entered the elevator door as soon as it opened since there was no one walking outward. Pressing the button then finally moving upward. She walked down the hallway and approached the door numbered 231. She knocked to the tune of a song and a couple seconds later the door swung open in front of her......
