The match was over. It devastated the Slytherins. The Gryffindors erupted into cheers and applause. Some people won their bets, while others lost them. The three friends got up; heads low.
"They were so close," Pandora whispered.
Downstairs, they met up with the rest of the group. Disappointment was evident on their faces as they met up with the rest of the group downstairs. The three still wore their quidditch uniforms. A dark green. It suited all of them.
"I don't say it was the wrong decision the girl made. It was clever. I get it. But why?! Whyy?!" She was pacing through the room, only half-dressed. Lilith was sitting on her bed, doing her makeup for the costume. "It's not the end of the world, Dora," Lilith assured her.
"I know. But still. Now our friends are sad and I wanted to celebrate so baad," she complained. "I get it. I want to have fun tonight, as much as you do," Lilith told her. She finished her makeup and was currently struggling with her earrings. Pandora realized she wasn't nearly as far as Lilith was in her costume. She got fully dressed as a fairy.
"You realized Halloween is meant to be a scary holiday. That means scary costumes," Lilith explained to her. "I am creepy. I haunt you in your dreams." "As a fairy?" "Yes. And you look like you're straight from hell," Pandora stated.
"I'm Lilith. The Lilith," the blonde clarified. She loved her namesake, and her costume looked good. She supposed both of them were ready until Pandora took out her wand for a last 'detail'. The spell she cast changed her cute fairy dress into a fairy-from-the-underworld dress. Now she looked kind of scary.
Lilith's mouth hung open, and her best friend shut it for her. The two witches went downstairs to the party. The music was busting in the grand room and people were dancing all over the room. They made their way toward the entry and right before it they spotted Satan, death himself, an axe murderer, and a chainsaw man. They let Barty, Regulus, Dorcas, and Evan in. Due to the costumes, no one said anything.
"You look soo cool," Pandora exclaimed, hugging them. Lilith hugged them as well.
"Oh, I see. The Queen of Hell herself, huh?" Barty remarked. "Hello, Satan. Where's your costume?" Lilith asked mockingly.
"Ha-ha, delightful," Barty gave her a playful smile.
"So, where's some good food? I'm starving!" Dorcas made her way across the room. "I'm afraid she's going to kill somebody with that axe," Regulus said. He didn't mean it as a joke. The group followed her into the crowd.
The Ravenclaws had plenty of food. Candied apples, muffins, sausages that looked like fingers, turkey sandwiches, pumpkin pie, and much more. Once the Ravenclaws had eaten their fill of candied apples, muffins, sausages that looked like fingers, turkey sandwiches, pumpkin pie, and much more, they checked out the games for the night. They fished for apples in water, there was bowling, and they transfigured objects into the creepiest thing in their minds. In between, they saw people trying to talk to imaginary ghosts. They were clearly drunk because Hogwarts had ghosts.
Idiots, Regulus muttered under his breath.
And they danced and danced and danced.
At the end of the night, Barty proposed an idea. "What if we bewitch our costumes, so that tomorrow, many students get scared by them?" He piqued their interest. "Soo, you mean they just appear in front of them?"
"Yup. Then the school would definitely remember this and not..."
"I'm in," Dorcas declared. The others nodded along. They got up to change once again. In hoodies and jeans, they met in an empty classroom. Every one of them laid out his or her costume. "Okay, this was new for me, because we have to combine spells," Lilith explained. "The clothes have to appear at the right moment. I think they should fly around like ghosts-,"
"What if we just ask ghosts if they wear them for a day?" Dora asked.
"Good idea, but try to find a cooperative ghost past midnight. Let alone six," Regulus threw in.
They formed a circle around their outfits, and Lilith started casting. Her friends copied her every word and move. To outsiders, they must have looked like a coven.

For Lilith, it was sweet. And she was tired. When she remembered last night, she smiled. Last night was so different from what she'd expected. She thought they'd be sad all night. Depressed over the fact their friends lost. But they weren't. Only for a short amount of time. But in the end, they had so much fun. And the fun continued today.
She practically jumped out of bed later than usual. Pandora was already getting ready. Lilith got dressed, and a few minutes later, Pandora emerged from the bathroom.
"Morning," Lilith greeted her.
"Girl, I wanted to tell you it was already 3 pm to wake you up," Pandora said in a disappointed voice. "Sorry."
"Breakfast?" she asked.
"Yeah, after my trip to the bathroom," Lilith replied, getting up.
They did just that. On their way downstairs, they already heard screams. The girls turned around another corner to be met with a trio of Hufflepuff girls facing Satan. They giggled to themselves.
In the Great Hall, they heard people talk about creepy ghosts scaring them. The boys went over to them.
"Oh my god, you should have seen it! The chainsaw ghost emerged through the Gryffindor table!" Barty blasted.
"It was peak comedy," Regulus said in his stern voice. But his eyes were shining and the corners of his mouth twitched.
Lilith and Barty looked over at them. It must have happened a few minutes ago. They have calmed down again, but anger and shock dwelled in their eyes. Sirius Black and Sam Potter saw them looking. They would plan an act of revenge on them.
Dorcas came storming into the hall and over to her housemates. She was out of breath.
"Snape," she took a deep breath, "he was so scared." Lilith realized Dorcas was laughing. Laughing so much she couldn't breathe. "I- he-" Lilith tried to calm her by grabbing her shoulders and forcing her to breathe. In and out. In and out.
"So, Snape. He saw you. I mean the Lilith. He got so scared, he tried to cast a spell on her. But it was just clothes, so the spell repelled and he flew backward," Dorcas reported with more laughter. The group joined her with loud and hearty laughs until none of them could breathe steadily.
