I walked into the giant ballroom.  Everything there took my breath away: the beautifully painted ceilings, the giant stone piillars, but most of all, my gorgeous cousin Leia, looking like an angel in her flowing white gown, her veil draped delicately over her shoulders.  She was flawless, and radiantly beaming as she danced with her new husband.  I sighed, wishing that I could too feel that happy with somone.

I came to the wedding reception hoping that my dress would gain attention.  It was green, deep green, with sparkly rhinestones that clasped the tops of my sleeves and encircled my waist.  I was in love with it, and wanted other people to notice it, especially my second cousin, Liam.  We hadn't seen each other for several years, and now since he's in One Direction, it's been even harder for him and I to stay in contact.  But he did email me a few months before saying he was coming to the wedding and reception.

But it was tonight and i couldn't find him!  I serched intently around the room and my eyes finally stumbled upon Liam--and the rest of One Direction! I couldn't believe my eyes.  One Direction was standing ten feet away from me!  My knees buckled and I sank down beside the wall, trying to tell myself to get up and actually act like a nomal human being.  Thankfully, Liam spotted me, and immediately he and the boys walked over tok where I was.  Liam greeted me with a soft peck.  "Finally someone I've been wanting to see tonight! I've missed you, Amber." And I missed him too.  I loved the band, but it took up so much of his time.

"I was expecting you to practically attack me like those other girls," Liam chuckled, motioning to a crowd of screaming fans excitedly jumping and being blocked by security guards.

"Well, uh...I didn't wanat to do anything that would scare you guys," I repled. I blushed until my cheeks burned.

"Oh, you're so sweet, Amber. It's okay! Hysterical screaming from girls show how much they love us," Louis jokingly commented.

"And besides, it's too late. It scares me that you're sixteen and you're this beautiful," Harry murmured, moving closer to me and putting a reassuring hand around my shoulder.  My heart skipped three beats as I shyly smiled and looked up.  His jade green eyes shimmered like gems and he flashed his glorious smile.  My heart melted even more.

"So, Amber, I've figured that you know all the boys, Harry, Niall, Louis, Zayn.  Boys, this is my second cousin Amber Stevens, as you know."  They all nodded a greeting at me, and Harry's arm tightened as he said, "It's nice to meet you." I replied a weak, "Same here."

After talking a little with Liam and catching up with him, a slow song came on.  Harry offered his hand to me and said, "Would you care to dance?"

I felt like the most special girl in the world.  My face lit up with a smile and I replied, "Yes, definitely." My trembling hand touched his, and his other hand pressed my waist. Right then and there, I was in the presence of no one but him.  I could only see his face, his beautiful face, inches away from mine.  His dark brown curls grazed my forehead and his sweet breath touched my face.

"So what do you like to do outside of school?" he asked, with that wonderful British accent of his.

"Well I like to run.  I play basketball and run track and field.  And I play piano." We danced in place, me slightly teetering on my heels.

"Piano? Wow, that's pretty impressive.  Piano is beautiful.  Like you." He winked at me and I beamed.

I laughed softly.   "Thanks." We continued to dance. "This truly is the greatest night I've had in a long time."  It really couldn't have been better.  I was in the arms of the most beautiful and loved guy in the world.  The lights dimmed more.

"Definitely. Liam's talked so much about you.  He's really missed you, and couldn't wait to come tonight, even though it was hard to come here.  There are so many girls..."he drifted off.  He didn't have to say anymore.  I understood completely.

"What's it like getting a lot of attention from millions of girls?" I questioned.

"Well, at first it was really shocking," he said, "but now we kind of expect it whenever we're in public. We don't take it for grante though.  We're so grateful for our fans." His hand entwined with mine and he squeezed lightly.

I looked into his soulful face. "You know, I've never been obsessed with a boy band before until you guys came together.  There's just something about all of you that's so fun, and unique, and---and perfect...especially you." Did I just say that? Oh shit.  I looked away in embarrassment, ready to hear laughing.

But Harry didn't react the way I though he would.  His hands moved around my back and he hugged me, saying, "Thank you.  No one has ever said something to me like that."

The song ended, and Harry released me.  He lovingly looked at me and asked, "Could I have you number?"  My face brightened up again and I eagerly said, "Sure, it's in my purse---" I left my purse with Liam.  I swiftly turned to the area where he was.  Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Louis were holding my phone up and making funny faces.  I saw a flash.  They were taking pictures on my phone? I rushed over there, taking my phone and laughing. Harry then hurriedly touched its screen.  A beep followed.  I looked at my phone.  Harry texted his phone, and I had five new contacts.

A security guard tapped Harry and told the boys, "We need to go."  Harry quickly kissed my cheek and whispered, "I'll be seeing you."

And he was gone.
