Veronica and I looked at each other quizzically.  All of a sudden we stopped in front of the Renaissance Center.  Harry pulled me out and we walked in.  The boys led us into a fancy restaurant.  The room was quiet as people gaped at the boys, gasping in shock as we walked past.

There, in the corner of the restaurant, was Perrie Edwards, Eleanor Calder, and Danielle Peazer!  They all looked up and smiled.  Eleanor stood up and hugged me, saying, "Hi Amber! It's nice to meet you."  Danielle and Perrie did the same.  I looked over at Veronica.  She stood there, frozen, with a smile on her face. A small tear trickled down her cheek.  "This is--this is so sweet," she whispered.

Niall put an arm around her.  "Surprise--it's a quintuple date!" He beamed.  "Hope you like it."

"Wow...no one's ever done this for me before.  Thank you, Niall," She lightly kissed his face.  Louis and Zayn whistled, making everyone laugh as she blushed.

Dinner was the best.  Everyone was so good-natured.  Louis kept his hilairious jokes going throughout the whole meal.  I loved how Liam and Zayn sat so close to their ladies.  I caught Danielle giving Liam a kiss, whispering, whispering, "I missed you, baby."  It was all so sweet.  These five boys knew how to treat girls well, despite their busy schedule filled with tours and award ceremonies and interviews.  My hand slipped off my lap and entwined with Harry's.  I'd hoped that I'd never lose him, that he'd alway be mine.

Once the fancy dinner was over, Paul escorted us out of the restaurant.  Harry signaled something to the boys, then gently took my elbow.  "Let's take a walk," he said, his face lit up with a smile.

Once outside, we walked to the boardwalk that lined the Detroit River. Paul and Mark had come out with us, while Joe stayed inside with the rst of them.  They stretched out their arms to hold back the fans.  Harry didn't take any pictures or sign any books or posters, just held my hand tightly and tried to go to a spot on the boardwalk that was a little more private.

We stopped near the end.  The sun was low in the sky, illuminating the crystal waters, and also Harry's green eyes. He looke at me intently, a loving look on his face as he spoke.  "Amber, you know the boys and I leaving for Cleveland tonight to start our tour."

My heart dropped.  I'd miss him so much.  "Yeah, Liam told me.  I--I'll miss you."  My arms wrapped around his waist and I pressed my face into his shirt, trying to hide my sad look.

He held my face in his hands.  "I'll miss you more," he said.  "Amber, when Liam first described you, he gave the impression that you were the sweetest, most unique person in the world.  And then he showed me a picture of you and I thought you were so beautiful.  And then these past couple of days have been the best, but tomorrow we start the tour and--and I can't not see you that whole time." His face leaned closer.  "I need to see you during that time, Amver.  We have a break from the tour in a month, so--we could meet up."  The summer sun reflected in his eyes.

My eyes widened a little in surprise.  Leaving home to see Harry? "Well...I'd have to work something out, but yes, Hazza, I'll do whatever it takes to see you.  I don't want to let today go."

"Neither do I..but Ihope this will help you always remember today." He moved even closer to me.  One hand slipped down my neck and around my waist.  His nose brushed my own, and my heart skipped a beat as our lips touched.

Dozens of flashes and cries of hysterical fans must've happened, but I didn't notice.  Harry applied gentle pressure and his other hand tugged my hair.  I moved my hands up his arms and gripped tightly.  He became a little more urgent, the kiss continuing until I shyly pulled away.  He exhaled, a sweet smile on his face.  "How was that?"

When we drove out of Detroit, I lost touch of reality. The kiss had left me in a blurry state, it was so magical, so pure.  My head rested on Harry's shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me.  Every time I exchanged glances with Veronica, she gave me this enthusiastic look and appeared to be suppressing a scream behind her hands.  Niall soulfully looked at her and softly kissed her cheek.  Smiling, she closed her eyes and placed her head on his lap.

Sadly, the van pulled into my driveway.  Reluctant to let me go, Harry helped me out onto the concrete ground. All the boys climbed out and embraced me at the same time, saying their goodbyes.  Liam said to me, "You know my birthday's during the same time we get on our break from tour.  We'll meet up with you then somehow, alright?"  I instantly brightened up.  I'd be seeing them again in a month!

They all got back in the car, except for Harry.  He pulled me close to him, took my hands and placed them over his heart.  "It'll only be a month," he whispered.  "It'll go by quicker than you think."

I looked into his eyes that were filled with sadness. "Of course," I responded.  "You'll do amazing on tour...but I'll miss you." I kissed his hand linked with mine.

Paul honked and gestured to Harry it was time to go. He anxiously turned back and held up his hand to wait.  He looked at me and quickly kissed my lips. "See you soon?"

Harry got back in the van and Paul backed it up.  The vehicle turned a corner and was out of my sight, leaving me alone on the cold dark pavement.
