Chapter 6: When These Walls Come Tumbling Down

We quickly make our way into the bar, attracting no attention at all. So I'm not surprised when the bartender jumps as Jinx calls his name, "Chuck!" She says, making him drop the cup he was cleaning in shock. Jinx messes with the Hextech crystal rolling it along the table.

"Thieram. Uh, my name's Thieram." He tries to correct us. "Don't be silly now, Chuck." I say. "Nice try.." Jinx adds. Chuck grabs two cups from under the counter and fill them with liquid. "What's all the hubbub?" Jinx asks him. "Uh. Boss wants us to grab someone up." He hesitantly answers.

"Someone? Anyone? Who you grabbing?" Jinx asks. "Some girls and a boy." Chuck answers. I give him a skeptical look, "'Some girls and a boy'?" I repeat. "I mean, I mean not... I'm not grabbing girls... or a boy." He quickly tries to clarify. He passes us our drinks, "Oh, other than the... those ones, I guess." He finishes.

"Focus." Jinx says as I sip my drink, "Who are they? Why weren't we invited to the party?" She asks, dropping the gem into her drink. "Uh, I don't know." Chuck answers, "They, they got in a fight with Sevika. They did a number on her."

Jinx lifts the crystal with her straw before dropping it back into her drink, "Oh really? Which number?" She asks. "It's like a saying..." He says, confused. I stand up, leaving my barely drunken drink on the counter.

"You're doing great, Chuck." Jinx says, hugging him and latching a bomb onto him without him noticing. "Yeah, thanks for the drink, Chuck." I agree. "Here for your troubles." She says grabbing her drink from the counter and walking upstairs. Chuck starts looking for the source of the whirring sound and I take that as my cue to leave. I quickly make my way upstairs as well.

Sevika walks into the room, "We lost them." She says. I get ready to drop down from the beams where I'm hiding. Jinx turns around in Silco's chair revealing herself to Sevika.

"Lost who?" Jinx asks, holding up a book. Sevika steps forward, activating Jinx's gas trap. I put on my gas mask as green gas begins to quickly fill the room. I'm not wearing my mask as it unfortunately doesn't have a gas mask built into it, so I have to avoid her view instead. Sevika coughs before beginning to rush to Silco's desk and Jinx.

I quickly drop down beside her, sticking my foot out and tripping her. She lands on the desk, slowly pulling herself forward. She stops inches from Jinx, too weak to pull herself any further. Jinx cockily waves at Sevika as she passes out on the desk.

I stand behind Jinx who is sitting on Silco's desk, spinning his chair. We tied Sevika to it, effectively keeping her from moving much. I replaced the gas mask with my own immediately after the gas dispersed. I feel so much better now. Sevika squirms in the chair, waking up. To speed the process up, Jinx slaps her. Sevika immediately sits up, awake and alert.

Jinx let's put a deep sigh before pulling the chair closer to her with her feet, "I feel like you and I got off on the wrong arm." She pulls a knife out of Sevika's mechanical arm, "maybe we should try the other." She holds the knifepoint against Sevika's flesh arm, threatening to stab it.

Sevika chuckles, "No need. It's your sister." Jinx falters. I feel a surge of anger pass through me at the mention of Jinx's sister. "And it's your brother." Sevika tells me. The anger immediately fades to confusion. Brother? That can't be right. He's dead. "They're back. They're looking for you. It's not what you think. They're with some girl enforcer. And your brothers one too. Guess they replaced you two."

Jinx pulls Sevika closer to her, stabbing the chair next to her neck. "You're lying!" She shouts in Sevika's face. "Why bother? Them back in town, it's only a matter of time before you two implode and Silco finally gets the message that you're about as good for our cause as you were for your families. Jinx." Jinx pulls away from the chair, moments from breaking.
