7 - alone or not so much

When I wake up to my alarm blaring in my ear I remember am alone. Slowly, very slowly my older bruises are fading, and the cut on my forehead it healing.

I get up and have a shower. Then I do some light makeup. Just enough to cover everything. Then I throw on a pair of leggings, a top and a hoodie. I style my new hair then grab my bag.

I have decided to walk to school to get some fresh air. It's only a fifteen minute walk anyway. Once I am in the school parking lot I look around for the Cullen's. Either a no show or they were late. Hopefully just late.

Just as I snapped out of my day dream Angela shouted me over to there group.
"Hey love the hair. My parents would never let me do that." I laugh as Angela thinks my parents or well... Parent did. But in a nice way.
"Ha fair enough, thanks." I reply causing her to she smile at me. I roll my eyes and check my phone.

"We should head to science we have three minutes." They all agree.
"Let's go." Mike Newton says from where he is standing. He tries grabbing my hand but I tug it away and go to walk by Angela.

"See you all later. My class is just here." I say to them and they all separate aswell. I walk into class and sit in my usual seat. Just as the bell rings and the teacher is about to start her lesson Edward barges in. Surprisingly he chooses to sit next to me. Not like he actually has much of a choice though.

About ten minutes of science pass before we are told to work with our desk partners. Great, I think turning to face Edward.
"You first or me?" He motions for me to have a look.
"I'm sorry if I was rude the other day. Let me introduce myself. Edward, Edward Cullen." I nod and look at him.
"It's fine, I'm olive. By the way this is prophase." I say pushing the microscope toward him.
"You mind if I check?" I lift up my hand as a yes.
"Prophase." He repeats.
"Like I said." I scoff. I wait to see if he starts conversation but he doesn't. So I go again. "You were gone?" He looks at me.
"Yeah I was out of town." He stopped and thought for a second "Personal reasons." Right, it thought but kept my snide comment to myself.

He looked at the microscope changing the slide before looking through. "Anaphase" he say. And I decide to be a pain in the back side.
"Mind if I have a look?" He laughs.
"Go ahead" I look already knowing he would be right.
"Anaphase." I agree. Quickly we finished the rest of the slide. Finishing before the rest of the class.

He walks with me out of class with me holding a golden onion.
"I, er, like you hair." I look at him and smile.
"Thanks Edward. I like yours aswell." He laughs under his breath. "I'll see you around I guess." He nods and hums a yes.

I spin but a bit to quickly, when a wave of dizziness washes over me. "Woah, you okay" I hear Edward say to me.
"Y-yeah fine just spin around a bit quick." He looks at me uncertain. He can't find out.
"Hey er, you should sit with me and my family at lunch on Monday." He says.
"You sure?" I ask not wanting to barge in un-wantedly.
"Yes, certain. Anyway Alice wants to meet you." I nod.
"She's the one with the spiky, pixie-like hair one isn't she?" He laughs at my description of his sister.
"Perfect description of Alice."

Then when I turn around he is gone. I don't think to much of it, instead just make my way out to the parking lot. Once I'm out there I am stood by some random person's car just while I sought out my bag. I look across the parking lot to see Edward stood next to his sister Rosalie.

Then the next thing I know there is a car screeching towards me skidding on the ice. I close my eyes and cover my head with my arms. Like that would do anything. But then suddenly it all stops. There is something between the van and me.

I look up to see a pair of amber eyes. Edward. He reaches his arm out and stops the van.

What the fuck. That isn't humanly possible at all. I stare at him. "What the fuck." He looks at me, "how?" I question him. He shrugs.
"Your lucky I was right next to you." I stare at him in disbelief. I try to argue but suddenly everyone is swarming us. I hear people shouting and people telling others to call the ambulance. Others shouting they have.

Basically our school broke out into chaos.

Once the ambulance arrived I was put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital by the ambulance. Edward rode in the back with me.

I wasn't in it much. Me not eating with the extra stress added on caused my body to respond. Next thing I know I am at the hospital being wheeled out into the cool wintery air.
