Chris's Pov
Sitting in the old Saloon I could hear her team arrive she was relieved while she always knew her team would find them for a brief moment she thought that by the time they got there, it might be too late, she could hear footsteps coming towards her "Chris? Are you there"? I breathed a sigh of relief as I recognised the voice as Street in a second he was crouching down behind the bar checking me over and looking at my injuries "Are you hurt anywhere else? He asked "Son of a bitch broke my leg" I tried to joke but winced through the pain, "Chris?" I heard Luca ask "Over Here" Street called. Together they helped me out when we were outside I saw the rest of the team Deac was already getting checked they walked me over to the waiting car to be checked out, after I was done deac came over Street had gone over to check the rest of the scene out "Come on Chris Luca and i will help you to the Helicopter and then i'll go with you to the hospital Deac said "The rest of the team will finish up here and join us at the Hospital or HQ when they are done here" he continued, We were halfway to the waiting helicopter when I turned around to see street coming out of the Saloon I stopped in her tracks she flashed back to events the past few hours while she was sitting in that old Saloon I thought about how if I died here my biggest regret was not giving me and street a chance while breaking the rules was partially why I didn't pursue a relationship with him she knew a bigger reason was because I was scared of getting hurt while I trusted Street completely it was myself I didn't trust growing up i never had a good example of what a loving relationship looked like and by the time I moved in with my aunt and uncle it was too late all of my past reaktionships had never been serious I had never seen any of them lasting even Kira. I started to limp towards Street my leg was killing me by the time I got to him I collapsed in his arms Can you please go with me to the hospital? I love deac but he needs to get back to Annie and the kids I'll be at the hospital for several more hours Ya of course you know I'd do anything for you Chris let's get you to the helicopter and then I'll let Hondo know what's happening he said.
(At the Hospital)
Chris's Pov
The doctors had just left after finishing up my exam besides the busted lip and cuts and bruises I also had bruised ribs and a fractured ankle I'd be on desk duty for six weeks Hey you must be hungry I'll go get you some food Street said before he got up form the chair he had been sitting in during the exam Street wait I said grabbing his hand stopping him from leaving I'm sorry I continued Sorry for what he asked Sorry for pushing you away and not giving us a chance Chris I get it you didnt want to break the rules he said Thats only part of the reason I didn't want to get hurt You know that I'd never hurt you he replied I know but it was more i was afraid that I'd hurt myself and you I never really had any good role models of how loving relationships were supposed to look like growing up and even after I went to live with Helena and Sarzo I had more experiences with toxic relationships than I did healthy ones while I was out there in the ghost town for a brief moment I thought I was going to die and all I could think about was how I'd regret not giving us a chance I said in a soft voice but I want to now I I I love you I stammered tears starting to stream down my face. I leaned in and kissed Street for a few seconds he didn't respond at first I thought he had changed his mind and moved on but then his hands framed my face his thumbs softly stroked my cheeks wiping the tears away we broke apart and leaned our foreheads together one of his hands came up to brush some hair out of my face and move it behind my ear I love you too he said with a soft smile I gave a watery chuckle before leaning in again we were lost in our little world and didn't hear the team come in I knew it! We heard Luka say excitedly, I blushed and hid my face in streets neck the rest of the team laughed in response I don't know what your walking about Street said We just got together Ya but
I always knew you guys were more than just friends and that you'd eventually get together Luka replied beaming I'm so happy for you guys he continued.
