"Don't you think it's kind of weird?" Yoohan frowned while staring at the ceiling, head laying across the bodyguard's bare, solid chest while his body sprawled on the bed, only clad in a nightrobe.

Jay tilted his head while recalling the scene of the family dinner. "You mean...the third wife?"

Yoohan snapped his fingers in affirmation. "Yep," he took a drag of the cigarette between his fingers, and narrowed his eyes at the flashback. "She was acting too brazen."

"I don't know them well, but if the Chairman even took a stance, that's something," Jay commented dryly, taking the ashtray from the nightstand for Yoohan to use.

Among all three wives, Jeong Mina was the one who stayed the longest. It wasn't because she was loyal, much less the Chairman. It was because of the status she got from staying as the HS's Madam. In the first place, Yoohan's father never divorced his wives first—the first one did because she found another man, and Yoohan's mother did because it was too hurtful.

Jeong Mina, on the other hand, didn't mind all the affairs. Yoohan didn't even think she loved the Chairman in the first place, and only did it for her greed. That was what Yoohan hated the most—to inflict so much pain just for power and wealth; that wasn't something that someone like Yoohan could comprehend.

And by some miracle, there was no other mistress daring enough to force their way into the mansion or demand to be wed. Although, it could be that once there was one, the woman instantly did something to make the mistress go away.

But there was no guarantee that she would always stay. Someday, someone daring enough could appear, or Lee Hwal would get too fed up and finally divorce her for his younger, prettier mistress. So it was imperative for the third wife to act within boundaries that wouldn't cross the Chairman's nerves.

And yet, she was getting really loose with her mouth, and shamelessly going to social events even while her husband brought another woman.

"Someone like her, who take importance on status, could only act like that if she was sure she wouldn't end up in a difficult position even if things turned out bad," Yoohan muttered.

"Perhaps she has a backup?"

"That's obvious," Yoohan closed his eyes and sighed. The moment Lee Hwal started to have another affair, the third wife should have started to look for another pillar of support, in case the Chairman decided to dump her. "But who and how they're connected."

Also, it was one thing for the third wife to look for someone else as a plan B. But daring enough to cross the line in front of the Chairman meant the one behind her was at least as powerful as the Chairman.

But if that was the case, why didn't she just go with that person instead of hanging around openly being cheated on?

"Did you not investigate it?" Jay stroked the blonde hair, scratching the scalp around the top where Yoohan liked it.

The younger man sighed again, but in contentment this time, parting his lips in bliss. "I tried, but it's quite hard with her," the voice came out almost in a purr, "She was rather meticulous, and never shown with another man outside—well, no one significant enough to satisfy her needs, at least..."

Smirking, the bodyguard moved his fingers more—to satisfy his master's needs. He pondered about what Yoohan said while at it. Something about it bothered him slightly, and after mulling over it quite some time while caressing the Master's hair, Jay muttered quietly.

"Hmm...outside, isn't it?"

At Jay's voice, Yoohan opened his eyes and glanced up slightly, staring at the sharp jaw from below. "What are you getting at?"
