Y/n, while talking with Ferid, at some point unintentionally fell asleep. Ferid left after a little while, a little bitter he had fell into Y/n's trap of talking about family and what not. Alas, there was nothing he could do now though with Y/n peacefully resting.

When the boy woke up again, he would ask him what happened.

Y/n, sure enough a few hours later, woke up. He had slowly sat up a bit and found food and water on the bedside table, which he picked at. Once he had a bit of the food; he lazed around until Ferid once again showed up an hour later.

Y/n looked over to the door when a voice startled him.

"Awake again, hmm?"

Ferid leaned against the door frame. He had his arms crossed in front of his chest, and his scarlet eyes were heavily chained to Y/n where the boy sat crisscross on the bed.

Y/n eyed Ferid for a little bit before saying anything, "Oh... Yeah, I guess," he answered very softly.

The noble finally walked all the way into the room, firmly shutting the door behind him.

"We need to talk," Ferid spoke nonchalantly.

"Uh oh..."

"What?" Ferid smiled playfully, "I haven't said anything yet."

"When someone says, 'we need to talk' it can't end well..." Y/n slumped over, a frown on his face as he held up his head with his hand that his arm rested on his knee.

"You don't know that," Ferid stood in front of Y/n.

Y/n slightly looked up at the vampire, "Are you going to prove me wrong?"

Ferid was silent for a while before sighing, "No, not today."

"Mhm..." Y/n hummed sarcastically.

"Well, since you aren't enjoying this, let's get it over with," the progenitor huffed.

"So, what happened to you, Y/n?"

The human avoided all eye contact as he thought up excuses, but none were plausible. Y/n just ended up slumping over even more.

"Well?" Ferid asked after a minute or two, almost becoming impatient.

"I just saw something a little... interesting," Y/n mumbled.

"You are going to have to be way more specific, my dear."

Y/n was starting to get slightly uncomfortable, and started to get antsy where he sat, "Something... gross."

"And just what exactly was gross?"

Y/n really didn't want to explain what he saw. He didn't want to worry anymore, and it was kind of embarrassing to say to Ferid that he saw the vampire stitch his own arm back on. Y/n didn't even know if he was supposed to see that...

"I really don't want to talk about it."

"Too bad so sad, little lamb," Ferid sighed, still eyeing Y/n.

Y/n finally gave up under the vampire's harsh stare and decided to explain in the easiest way possible.

"How's your arm...?"

"Oh," the progenitor finally got the memo, "Oh."

Y/n couldn't bring himself to even look in Ferid's direction, instead he stared at the end of the bed and covered his mouth leisurely with his palm.

The noble let out a soft chuckle at Y/n's expressions, before outstretching an arm towards the boy to gently run his ungloved hand over the soft skin of Y/n's exposed neck and traveling under the hem of his shirt to the top of his shoulder.

"Not a very tough stomach, hmm?"

Y/n's face redden a bit in embarrassment.

Ferid hummed with a warm smile, "That's all right," he spoke smoothly and slowly, "Thank you for worrying."

Y/n waited for the scolding of snooping through the noble's room without his permission, but it never came. Instead, only the soothing exploration of Ferid's hand with the light graze of his sharp violet nails continued.

"I'll be honest," the lord spoke up after a bit, "I'm surprise I didn't recognize you were ill."

Y/n let out a soft scoff of a laugh, "I didn't know I was still sick either."

"Well, at least we know now."

Y/n laid in his bed in the room Ferid had given him some time ago, glad to be out of the infirmary. He wanted to go to the library so bad, he'd even take the garden at this point, but Ferid had confined the boy to his room.

Y/n didn't even notice a knock on his door he was so deep into his own thoughts.

The door opened and just in Y/n's peripheral vision did he notice Ferid. He turned his head to look at the vampire who walked over to Y/n.

"I thought you were dead," Ferid sighed as he slowly took his thigh high boots off before coming to sit on Y/n's bed, "You didn't say anything when I knocked."

"Oh, I didn't hear," Y/n answered, moving to sit up and next to Ferid with their backs to the pillows and headboard.

Ferid hummed, his arm going to wrap around Y/n's waist. Truly, Ferid had quite enjoyed Y/n's company. it was much less lonely around now. He didn't think he would have gotten much out of it, but he quite enjoyed Y/n's need for physical contact. It did them both good.

Y/n leaned more into Ferid, saving the noble's warmth and sighing.

"What?" Ferid asked.

"What do you mean?" Y/n returned, confused.

"You sighed, what's wrong?"

"Oh," Y/n paused, "I dunno, I'm just bored."

Ferid hummed, "I can bring you a few books tomorrow."

Y/n's eyes it up as he looked at Ferid, "Really?"

Ferid nodded before getting comfortable again.
