Florens stopped his actions, he must have heard it too. And then once more, followed by a rustle somewhere in the woods, the howl echoed. The hunter looked around and I realized that this was my chance. I kicked him in the balls, and then once more, leaving him whimpering on the ground. 'I'd rather risk getting caught by a wolf than getting raped by a douchebag.'
I sprinted along the path when, suddenly, I was pulled down.
It all went so fast, one second I was running and the next I was in a dark place. As I tried to understand what had happened, I noticed warm arms around me. And when I tried to grasp my surroundings I noticed something, pearls? No, eyes. Golden eyes. Golden eyes were staring at me and I realized that I now was caught in another man's arms. I shrieked, but he quickly shushed me and put his hand over my mouth. I listened and I could hear Florens scream my name repeatedly. "Emily, you witch! Where are you?" he angrily shouted into the woods.
My heavy breathing only increased. 'Should I scream and struggle against this man too? I was a fool to trust Florens so why should I ever trust this man? I won't make the same mistake again.' I deeply thought of a plan, and came to the conclusion that I would deal with one man at a time. Florens would leave and then I could kick this guys balls too.
The man removed his hand from my mouth and pulled away, then he rose inside our small space. He lifted up what looked a curtain of moth, revealing the light outside. The light shone on him and for a slight moment a noticed his beautiful features, and his hair. His hair was so weird, it looked like silver. But only for a moment. "Where are you going?" I whispered. But once again he shushed me and put on a devilish grin. That grin held a clear look of mischief. Then his features disappeared, out of my sight.
He walked outside and quickly disappeared out of my vision field. 'Maybe he left?'' If he left me here I would not have to deal with him after the hunter disappeared, unless he was hiding, waiting for me later, to ambush me. But I decided to bother that when it happened. I had to get to granny, she's so old and needs tendency. 'She might actually be dead.' The thought made me scared and sad. I love granny so much, she has been such a big part of my life.
"I'm so ridiculous." I said to myself. Thinking of stuff like this. In a hole. In the woods. Thinking sure goes fast. It was only seconds ago the man with golden eyes left the hole when I heard a loud bark. And then another one. These barks weren't the barks of a dog, it was unlike any bark I've ever heard. My thoughts slowly went back to that burning gaze I had, the gaze of a wolf. And then I heard a scream, Floren's scream. Which wasn't all that bad to listen to, but whatever made those scary sounds outside made me feel unsafe. I curled myself to a ball inside of the small space. Then Floren's scream went further away. I was scared. There was a wolf out there, a wolf that made a hunter run for his life. And I was left alone. 'But the man from before? Was he still outside? Could he help me fight the wolf?'' The thoughts rushed through my head, but quickly came to an end. I heard howling, and then a rustle outside the moth curtain.
It was like someone threw a bucket of hail on me. I crept even further into the hole. The moth curtain was removed and there was the man with the golden eyes and silver hair. But that made me no less insecure.
His eyes, they were burning. They looked at me with the same frightening aura I had felt earlier in the forest. It was the wolf. He seemed to have realized my fear and that just made him grin. He crept into the hole. Desperately I was trying to find another way out, but he had blocked the only exit. I pushed my back into the soft dirt and squeezed my eyes shut. He was close, I could feel his breath on my skin. I opened my eyes. He was so, SO, close. I could barely focus my eyes in his. They were like pure gold, they made me think of all those stories about princesses and princes, kings and queens, with huge treasures and plates made of gold. He moved his gaze from my eyes and ...... sniffed? He sniffed me, he lifted my arms and smelled them too. "You smell so bad. You smell like that hunter out there, he must've been all over you." I stared at him, and I felt dumbfounded. I couldn't even speak.
