"I'll come back again!" said Gon. His passion to become a hunter is strong, i wonder why though.

After Gon had said this, a few men started laughing behind us, Gon and i turned to look at them to see what was so funny, the stinky old men started bickering.

"The world's best hunter?"
"What a naive little boy."
"Every year, millions of incredible men take part in the hunter exam, but only a handful make it in the end. Don't be so quick to make judgements boy."

I looked at Gon to see his reaction but he stayed neutral, as if he didn't care. Okay weird, i would've gone a little pissed if i were him, is this how normal people react?

Gon then started walking and i followed him, as we reached to the other end of the platform we heard some yells. "What are you doing, Katzo? You'll never me an outstanding seaman if you don't buck up." said a guy leaning on a mop, im assuming the guy on the ground with the apples is Katzo, poor him looks so overworked.

Katzo tried to get back up but the other guy just kicked him right in the butt, Gon gasped at this sudden rude action, "What's the matter? Can't even stand up straight?" the guy said as he laughed with his friend.

Gon then started walking down the stairs so i followed him, where is he going? A cracky voice interrupted my thought, "Hey, both of you! Stop fooling around." said an old man while drinking something.

The two men immediately stopped their doings and started running, "Yes sir!" said both of them. The old man started walking towards the guy now picking up apples, "Hey! Didn't you hear me? Move that right now.".

"Yes, Captain!" Gon picked up an apple that fell on the ground as the guy stood up, "Wait!" said Gon, he quickly threw the apple perfectly into the box where the rest of the apples were packed in. "Thank you!" said the guy.

While the old man started drinking whatever it was he was drinking, birds started to gather above the boat chirping quite loudly. "A storm is coming." said Gon. Both me and the old man looked at him, a conversation started forming between the two.
"How do you know, boy?"
"Because the seagulls said so."
"What?"
"And..."

Gon pinched his nose then jumped quickly up to the top of the boat. Woah thats cool, im guessing he's trying to identify the smell, but what is he trying to find?

"What do you think he's doing?" said the old man while still looking up at Gon curiously, "I can't really tell, i don't know him that well..." i replied. He nodded understanding.

"It's going to be a huge storm." the old guy and i looked at him in shock. "Trust me! I can tell from the smell." Gon yelled from above. That's amazing, i looked at the old man, he looks amazed by Gon's skills too, i wonder how he's able to do that...

The boat started shaking, the storm is strong, he really wasn't lying huh. I could hear screams across the other side of the boat, Gon and i were in a room full of a bunch of other people, im guessing they're also trying to take the exam too.

While waiting, Gon and i talked again to keep each other entertained until this hell of a boat ride was over. "Ooo animals! I love them, theyre so sweet and everything, do you have any pets at your home?" asked gon, "Actually i do! I have 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 bunnies." i replied, at least mom and dad let me have pets... it was boring being so lonely all of the time.

"Woahhh you have a lot! I bet its pretty hard to deal with them. I usually go to the forrest and i always happen to come across bears and snakes but i just try to observe them, but when i see dogs or cats wandering around by the market, i always try to give them something or pet them!" he said, it was really fun talking to Gon, having a friend really was better than i thought.
