Same day
Rajvansh Sadan
"Abir bhai, Abir bhai" shouted Ketki on the top of her voice in the otherwise silent home
Or could they even call it home?

"Uff Ketki itna kyun chilla rahi hai?" came in Parul Masi's grumbling voice as she approached Ketki who stood at the door of Abir's room banging it and calling out for him

"Masi dekho na Abir Bhai door hi nahi khol rahe hain kabse awaaz laga rahi hun" grumbled Ketki.
She needed help with her latest assignment and Abir was the person she turned first too for every small thing.

"Abir kal raat der tak office ka kaam kar raha tha.
Thak kar so raha hoga Ketki. Tu Kunal ki madat le le" said Parul Masi

"Ughh Masi Kunal bhai se accha main ek statue se madat le lun. Par ab koi option bhi nahi hai. KUNAL BHAI" shouted Ketki thus leaving Parul Masi alone who starred at Abir's room for a minute before walking in...

There slept a guy who once used to be the life of the house
Whose one smile was enough to light up someone's day
Who always stood by people like an angel whenever they needed him
The guy who deserved the World
But ended up losing it all...

Masi sighed as she saw him sleeping in a rather uncomfortable position with a painting close to him as if his life depended on it
Well it did
She arranged his head properly and covered him with a blanket and then slowly took the painting away

As a fish immediately struggles when separated from water, he immediately began to move as soon as he sensed the loss of the painting and woke up.

"Mishti..." were the first words he uttered

Masi sighed " Abir I just moved the painting away so that you can sleep properly. You looked clearly uncomfortable..."

"I wasn't uncomfortable Masi" Abir immediately retorted

"Abir stop it" Masi said with a little anger
"And go to sleep please. Have you looked at yourself? Your hair looks as if you haven't combed it for days. Your face has lost it's colour and your eyes are puffy red"
"I know you cried the entire night and haven't slept a minute"
"You can lie to everyone about working till late night but not me. You're a mess Abir. Why have you done this to yourself?"

"Because I deserve it"
"I deserve this for what I did"
"Infact I deserve worse"
"I tried to hold myself strong and I have been doing it since always but last night I couldn't. It's HER BIRTHDAY TODAY masi and I miss her. I miss her so much and the fact that I have lost her forever hurts so much" Abir spoke with tears in his eyes.

Masi cane forward to hug him but he immediately backed off
"No I don't need your comfort Masi. I don't deserve it. Just leave me alone please. And ask no one to disturb me today. I want to be alone"

Masi sighed and left the room sending a prayer above to the Almighty asking him to heal her child

Abir immediately walked towards his drawer and opened it revealing a glass pendant. It brought back a whirlwind of memories.
Abir immediately fell on his knees hugging the pendant close to his chest and crying "Kahan ho tum Mishti?" he spoke between his tears.

At the same time a car stopped in front of a house named Maheshwari Sadan. A girl stepped out wearing stilettos and a designer suit. Her hair in a neat ponytail. She adjusted her sunglasses over her eyes and smirked... "Let the game begin"...
