Her Revenge

The shock

"Ding Dong"
The doorbell rang in the otherwise silent Rajvansh Sadan.

"Oh my mother" grumbled Nidhi Mami as she came out of the kitchen wiping her hands with her pallu.
"Arey Jugnu kahan marr gaya?" she screamed on the top of her voice.
"Arey aa rahi hun" she said as the doorbell ringed continuously.
A courier boy stood at the door of the house.
"Kya hai? Do minute ruk nahi sakte theh kya?" she asked him.
"Ma'am your courier" the guy said making Nidhi shocked.
It was very rarely that people spoke to her in English.
"Yes, yes my courier" she replied with her nose high in the air.
She received the courier and the courier boy left.
Coming inside she tried to guess who the courier was for as the envelope only said RAJVANSHS.
At the same time Ketki came into the hall. Understanding the situation she huffed and took the envelope from her mother's hand and tore it open. As soon as she read the contents inside the ground beneath her feet slipped...

"Dadu, Fui, Papa, Masi, Abir Bhai, Kunal Bhai , Kuhu Bhabhs aap sab jaldi neeche aao" screamed Ketki on the top of her voice.
Hearing the commotion every single family member assembled in the hall.
Kunal was about to scold Ketki for disturbing the entire house but one look at her face and he knew something grave had occurred because Ketki looked pale...

"Kya hua Ketki?" asked Meenakshi Rajvansh. When Ketki didn't respond she saw the envelope in Ketki's hand and started reading it.
Meenakshi Rajvansh was shocked.
There are very few things in the world which could shock Meenakshi Rajvansh and this did.
Kunal who couldn't take the suspense anymore went to his mother and took the envelope from her. Well he wasn't spared of the shock either...
"Oh for God's sake Kunal aisa kya hai iss envelope mein? Bologe bhi ya Maa aur Ketu ki tarah aise hi #Statue banke rukoge?" asked Kuhu finally.
When she failed to get any response from her husband she decided to take the matter into her own hands and started reading the envelope.

An immediate smile came over her face along with tears which anyone could guess were happy tears.
"Mishti..." she whispered.

Abir who was till now standing at a corner least interested in his family's tantrums immediately snapped his head up listening to that name...
Everyone in the Rajvansh Sadan was shocked and stilled.
"Kya kaha tune Kuhu?" asked a shocked Parul Masi. It had been a long time since this name had been taken in the hall of this house.

Kuhu immediately began reading the envelope. It was an invitation for the Rajvanshs from the Maheshwaris for Mishti's 25th Birthday Party which was being held that evening.

To say the Rajvanshs were shocked was an understatement. It had been long since the Maheshwaris had any contact with them forget meeting them. That too for Mishti's birthday party? Was Mishti back? How and when did this happen?

Every single person in that house was filled with mixed emotions. Some happy, some shocked, some anxious and some scared.
But there was one person who experienced them all. A person who more than anything felt the emotion of HOPE. A hope that she was around him, breathing the same air as him and maybe just maybe he will be able to see her.
He was Abir.
Abir immediately turned his head towards the temple in his house and whispered with hope and tears in his eyes "Really Partner?"

Mishti was in her room selecting a dress when Badi Ma came to her.
Knocking the door she came asked whether she could come inside.
"Arey Badi ma aap knock kyun kar rahi hain? Please aaiye." responded Mishti.
"Vo tujhse bahut time baad mil rahi hun na Mishti toh aise bina knock kiye aana sahi nahi laga." said Rajshi hesitantly.

'Accha hua knock kar liya badi maa. I hate it when someone invades my privacy.' thought Mishti in her mind.

"Vo tujhse kuch baar karni thi." said Badi Maa.
"Haan boliye na Badi Maa." responded Mishti.
"Aaja beth"
'Aisi kya baat karni hai?' thought Mishti raising her eyebrow while she went and settled beside Badi Ma and immediately a smile covered Mishti's face.

"Gudiya Rani mujhe tujhse maafi mangni hai. Uss din jo kuch bhi hua nahi hona chahiye tha. Tera dil bahut bada hai. Itna sab hone ke baad bhi tu humare paas vapas aa gayi hai. Lekin mera mann tab tak shant nahi hoga jab tak mujhe ye bharosa na ho ki tune hum sabko maaf-"

"Badi Ma" Mishti immediately cut her off.
"Main itne time baad aayi hun aur aap past ki baatein utha kar baithi hain? Vo bhi mere birthday ke din? Badi Ma main move on kar chuki hun. Past mein nahi jiti ab main. Please aap log bhi sab kuch bhulkar move on kijiye mere saath." said Mishti with a smile.

Rajshi immediately hugged her. "Meri bacchi mujhe ye jaan kitni khushi ho rahi hai ki tu sabkuch bhula chuki hai. Aur tune sahi kaha. Mera bhi dimaag kharab hai jo pichli baatein lekar baith gayi." Rajshri broke the hug and immediately wiped her tears.
"Chal ab main chalti hun. Teri party ki tayaariyan bhi toh baki hain."
Saying this she left the room.

Mishti's smile was immediately replaced by anger.
"Nahi bhuli kuch. Aur na hi kabhi bhulungi. Jo aap sabne mere saath kiya vo kabhi nahi bhulungi. Aur jab mera plan pura ho jayega tab aap sab bhi kabhi nahi bhul paoge." said Mishti which anger and bloodshot eyes.

Here in the Rajvansh sadan everyone was eager to go to the Maheshwari Sadan. With different emotions but with the same goal. To meet Mishti. Abir sat in the car wearing Mishti's favourite black coloured suit and her favourite lavender cologne. The family members tried to judge his emotions and reactions but couldn't guess any. He was as blank as a canvas.
Then as the car proceeded towards the Maheshwari sadan he slowly looked towards the sky and saw the full moon.
"Mera chand vapas aa gaya" he thought and a smile broke on his face. He felt the love.
At the same time in the Maheshwari house Mishti harshly closed the curtains hating the site of the full moon.
It made her remembered all his loving endearments and shayaris that he said while comparing her with the moon. All those memories made her feel nauseous. She felt nothing but hatred.

So the 4th chapter is finally up.
