Chapter III. Overnight.

Third person:

Owen was walking with Alex to the small tent seeing it was late afternoon. "Welp, here is the tent!" "I-it looks nice..." Alex replied.  "Its also very cozy!" Owen sat down around the campfrie, Alex sitting next to him. Owen grabbed two bowls with soup out of his backpack and gave one to Alex. Alex refused. "Cmon Alex, you haven't eaten all day..." "B-but I don't have permission... it will be just a waste..." "You don't need permission Alex, eat whenever you want, and don't think you are a waste, you are valid." Alex just stared at Owen with tears in her eyes. Then she smiled a bit and started eating.

"I gotta go back to the gate yea?" "Alright." "Just relax a bit, and go to bed on time." "Yes Owen." Alex smiled at him as Owen got up. "Night sis." "Goodnight Brother." ANd with that, Owen sprinted off.

It was one minute before the gate closed. Owen grabbed all his armour, some wood, a furnace, food and weapons. He left some signs around the gates. He flipped his lever down and left the maze cake in a chest. 10 seconds.

Ten.
Owen rushed around.

Nine.
Owen sprinted into the maze.

Eight.
Owen wrote a sign on the wall in the maze.

Seven. 
Owen tried to find a safe spot.

Six.
Owen hid in some leafs.

Five.
He got out and slowly walked to the gate.

Four.
He grabbed his bow.

Three. 
In the other hand he held the arrows.

Two.
He was ready to fight.

One....
He watched the maze close and hid.

Meanwhile with Alex....

Alex tried to sleep as it was dark outside but she couldn't. She just had an eerie feeling. It wasn't quite right. So like any other human being, she went off to find her brother. Ofcourse the first place she walked to was the gate. then she found all of Owen's signs, his lever, flipped and the cake. "O-owen..." She stumbled out as she started sobbing. Graecie. SHe began to run. like her life depended on it. she just ran to Graecie and stormed her house in, seeing Graecie sitting at her table. "Alex! Whats wrong?! Why are you crying?!" 

"O-OWENMAZESIGNSN-NOWMIGHTDIE." She managed to stumble out through her sobs and sniffs. "Woah woah there... calm down and explain it a bit slower..." Graecie said. "O-owen... H-he is in the maze a-and left signs that h-he might not come back a-and- and-" "Alright. We are gonna get help and see if we can contact him, alrigth?" Alex just nodded while starting to scratch her arms. Graecie garbbed them. "Don't do that... that's bad for you..." "B-but I am c-crying and and- its no to-okay to have e-emotions.." "It is Alex... They are valid here... now let's go." Alex nodded and they went out 

They were on their way to squidney when they came across reddoons. Alex bumped into him and he catched her. "Woah woah woah- whats happening? why are you crying and from where the haste?" He asked. Alex just let out another sob. "Owen has decided to stay a night in the maze. we are on our way to squidney." Graecie responded. "Let me come with you." Reddoons said. "Alright. lets go." Reddoons let go of ALex and they ran to Squidney's house. 

The arived and Graecie stormed in, stumbling upon Squidney and Spidey sitting on a couch. "WOAH- Graecie! Why did you just storm in?! What happend?!" Squidney asked as she stood up. "Owen stayed inside the maze when the door's closed. Now I have a panicking, sobbing Alex with me and I want to break his legs if he isn't dead already." "Woah- and you're here?" "Maybe you can talk sence into him if he makes it out wich will probaly happen. now let's go." Graecie said. Squidney and Spidey followed her outside. And the group walked towards the gate.

As they came closer an arrow was shot over the gat and landed infront of their feet. "What the-" Graecie said. Reddoons started running as he yelled: "Maybe he is in danger!! We gotta act fast!!" Alex followed. She reached the door first and started banging. "OWEN?!" She yelled. The rest came to a rest and stood there. "OWEN YOU BETTER BE JOKING. ANSWER. ME." She banged a little harder. "OWEN PLEASE." She was sobbing as her bangings slowed down. "Owen...." She slid down onto the ground against the wall, crying. Until she heard a faint yell. sh got up emedeantly and whiped her tears. "OWEN?!" "A-ALEX?!" Graecie ran up to the door. "GOD OWEN YOU SCARED US. WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THERE?!?!" "W-Well i thought the walls would go down at night b-but they arnt but there is something or someone in here!! blocks are moving and and things appear and dissapear!!" Owen said. "Owen you are just tired-" reddoons replied. "no, no no! reddoons i have not slept since i got here, infact the only thing i did was try and keep everyone safe!!" "just- just hold on okay?.. its just 10 minutes left, the sun is already rising a bit.." "alright.."
