Wednesday stood in the middle of the yard of Nevermore. She held her father's arrest papers and looked up to the terrace. That's where my dad allegedly killed someone thirty-two years ago, she thought. (Flashback) Principal Weems was walking out of the building on a stormy night. It was the night of the Rave'n in 1990. A body fell from the terrace and she screamed, she looked up and saw none other than Gomez Addams. And he was holding a sword, standing right where the body had fallen off. The police were now there, taking pictures of the crime scene. "I think he had a sword, and they certainly have issues. I don't like to tell tales, Sheriff Walker, but it's all Morticia Frump's fault. They were fighting over her." Young Weems said. The police were now loading a body bag into a truck. Gomez was in handcuffs, being escorted to a police car. "Tish..." Gomez said, pulling away from the sheriff's to talk to Morticia, "I don't know what to say, Gomez. Seeing you in handcuffs, accused of murder...I've never loved you more." Morticia said dreamingly, "Cara mia." Replied Gomez, "All right, that's enough, Addams. Let's go." A Sheriff said, disgusted. He forced Gomez into a police car. Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley had now shown up to Nevermore. They were talking in front of the car, "I hope Wednesday's happy to see us. I left a dozen messages on her crystal ball. Still no reply" Morticia said, "Fret not, my plum-lipped cupid. I'm sure she's dying to see us" Gomez reassured her. "Come on, let's go." Pugsley complained. "Nevermore was created as a safe haven for our children to learn and to grow, no matter who or what they are." Principal Weems spoke, everyone clapped. "Now I'm sure you've heard about the unfortunate incident involving one of our students. But I'm happy to report that Eugene is on the mend and is expected to make a full recovery. So let's focus on the positive, and make this parents' weekend our very best yet." Principal Weems said. "On the mend? Try in a coma." Wednesday said, crossing her arms, "Have you been to see him? You're his friend." Enid reminded her, "I'm the reason he's in the hospital." Wednesday replied, rethinking the last week's events, and how she turned Eugene down to attend a dance with Tyler. "That is not your fault, okay? The monster hasn't attacked anyone in the past week. Maybe you finally scared it off." Enid replied positively, "Or maybe it went into hiding to avoid this weekend." Wednesday reasoned. Wednesday saw her family making their way across the lawn. "I knew I should have worn my plague mask." Wednesday said sarcastically, "Would you look at my family? Talk about a toxic pack mentality. I give my mom 30 seconds before her judge-y claws come out." Enid said. "Let's get this over with." Enid sighed again, and Wednesday nodded as they both went the opposite direction.
